Breakout Prospects in July: 2021 Guards

I know we are all ready for some competitive basketball to start up again. It will be obvious to see who has been working on their game during this downtime. I really feel for the class of 2021 since this was their last summer to show out. Here are some of the top guards in the class who are already on some radars, but will make themselves even more visible this month: [player_tooltip player_id="91480" first="Erin" last="Turral"] - FGB Erin is one of the top scorers in the state and the nation. She has an arsenal of crafty moves that makes her so tough to guard. She’s a confident player with the shot and skills to prove it night in and out. [player_tooltip player_id="145094" first="Nyla" last="Jean"] - ECU Nyla is a quick guard who can do it on both ends. I personally believe she’s one of the best on-ball defenders in the state. She’s an explosive player who brings her team a lot of energy too. She slithers through defenses and finds the open teammate if she doesn’t have a good look. [player_tooltip player_id="91524" first="Janay" last="Outten"] - Team Knight Janay is true team-first player who is a terrific passer. She has good court vision and is a solid scorer from any level. She plays tough defense and is going to give her all on every play. [player_tooltip player_id="91512" first="Kassidy" last="Jones"] - Tampa Thunder Kassidy is a high intensity floor leader that knows the game so well. She’s crafty around the rim with a lengthy frame and has a high release shot that she can drain from anywhere. [player_tooltip player_id="91519" first="Jasmine" last="Peaks"] - Essence Jasmine is a quick, smooth guard who can light it up in a hurry. She distributes the ball well amongst a very talented summer and HS squad. She still has potential to rise as she refines her game even more. [player_tooltip player_id="91488" first="Amari" last="Hunter"] - Miami Suns Look no further if you want an all-around guard. Amari is a fantastic scorer who includes her teammates with her ability to create. She’s a pest on defense.and rebounds very well for a guard. She doesn’t get as much recognition as she deserves, but that will continue to change.
