SW Ohio Class of 2022- part 2

It’s a great Monday and today I will take a look at five guards who are expected to shine this coming season. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="159378" first="Sarah" last="Ochs"], 5-6 Dayton Carroll</strong></span> As I mentioned earlier in the year, Sarah’s stock is rising quickly after a very solid sophomore season at Carroll. She is like a coach on the floor, a very intelligent player who utilizes what opportunities she has. Very good basketball IQ, a hard worker and continuing to improve her game. Can score in all three phases including beyond the arc, at the rim and midrange. Also can finish in transition and has great handles. Coaches take a good look at her. <strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="92517" first="Ella" last="Riggs"], 5-7 Cincinnati Indian Hill</span></strong> Her court vision is exceptional and her ability to make things happen on both ends of the court are special. She has a very good basketball IQ, and is also a versatile player who can play either guard or small forward position. Most naturally a small forward but can adapt to the game she is in. Can score around the rim and with her good body control, she is able to be effective battling against the taller kids. Nice outside shot. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="92533" first="Nia" last="Kemper"], 5-5 Wyoming</strong></span> One thing that I liked immediately upon watching her in the past is her quickness and ability to adapt to the shot, and is always around the ball. Moves well and gets herself into position to score, knows where to be to give herself the best chance to produce on the floor. Can play well in transition, and use both hands well. Sees the floor and can break down the defender and get to the rim. <strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="92539" first="Hailey" last="Unger"], 5-7 Arcanum</span></strong> Half of what is going to be a very dangerous backcourt for the Trojans. Hailey has an explosive finish at the rim, is very athletic and mobile. Has another gear when in the open court in transition. Can blast by her defender to score at the rim. Maybe the best pure shooter in Ohio in her class, has a great looking shot, elevates well and solid follow-through. Very solid passer, and D1 coaches need to be making the call. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="32604" first="Madelyn" last="Fearon"], 5-7 Arcanum</strong></span> The other half of the electric backcourt. Not as quick as Unger, but she does a lot of things very well. Can shoot with anyone, moves in the open court to get in position to score off the pass. Deep range. Phenomenal handles, quick hands on defense and can use it to make her a dangerous weapon. Just makes plays happen. Keep an eye on Arcanum this season! &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;
