Oregon Triple is a team with a lot of exuberance, confident, and flair as the team mostly showcases standouts from the Salem area.  In their game against Team Lavine 16/17, there were able to show all the different pieces that make up the totality of their roster.  The game was led off by a triple from [player_tooltip player_id="158491" first="Skye" last="Miller"], followed by an and-one fro [player_tooltip player_id="158488" first="Liv" last="Knapp"].  [player_tooltip player_id="158536" first="Melanie" last="Hiu"] was a catalyst on defense, as she made several stops that turned into points, as she found [player_tooltip player_id="158491" first="Skye" last="Miller"] and [player_tooltip player_id="158488" first="Liv" last="Knapp"].  Knapp was dangerous off the dribble, as she scored 11 in the first half.  Sak Bradley had two jab moves on back to back possessions that led to baskets.  At halftime, it was a relatively close game as Oregon Triple led 23 - 17. The second half was a different tale, as Team Lavine couldn’t quite keep up with the momentum that Triple created going into the half.  Knapp and Miller each sank a three to start the half, and [player_tooltip player_id="158536" first="Melanie" last="Hiu"] once again was a facilitator off her defense to Skye.  Mya Adams was shown to be a productive piece as she scored off three consecutive possessions, off rebounds and put backs as well as a nice floater.  Sak had another put back, Melanie hit some free throws, [player_tooltip player_id="158491" first="Skye" last="Miller"] had a baseline drive for two, and the game ended on a Maicee Bradley coast to coast and-one as Oregon Triple coasted to a 51 - 25 victory. Stats: [player_tooltip player_id="158488" first="Liv" last="Knapp"]: 14 points, 3 assists [player_tooltip player_id="158491" first="Skye" last="Miller"]: 12 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists [player_tooltip player_id="158536" first="Melanie" last="Hiu"]: 2 points, 4 assists, 3 steals Sak Bradley: 6 points, 5 rebounds Karlee Tyler: 6 points, 3 rebounds Mya Adams: 8 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals Maicee Bradley: 3 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal [player_tooltip player_id="158488" first="Liv" last="Knapp"]: Dangerous from the jump Knapp come out the gates on fire, as she showed that she is a highly efficient scorer who doesn’t need a lot of room or dribbles to find a shot that she likes.  She can score in a variety of different situations, off the dribble, stationary, and everything in between.  Knapp is also an above average facilitator, as she had some solid assists including one that came from half court to an open teammate at the basket. [player_tooltip player_id="158536" first="Melanie" last="Hiu"]: Defensive specialist Melanie’s game starts and ends with her efforts on the defensive end, as she is a persistent and engaged defender who hustles and works on hard on this front, with her solid lateral quickness and active hands.  She then creates offense from defense, by getting ahold of the ball and finding teammates in scoring position.  She  is a key to Oregon Triple’s success as a player who can create opportunities for others based on hard work and merit. Offense from all angles [player_tooltip player_id="158491" first="Skye" last="Miller"] is a big guard with a solid frame who takes it strong to the basket, can hit from the perimeter, and is extremely fluid in her approach to the game.  Sak Bradley is a wing who has length and size, but can score in isolation with a variety of fakes and jab moves that help her let loose to the basket.  Karlee Tyler is more of the traditional forward who cleans up at the basket with her activity on the glass.  Mya Adams is the cog that puts everything together, as she is at the right place at the right time, and knows what to do with the ball once it is in her hands.
