Milan Berry
Grad Year: 2024,
Position: Shooting Guard
School: Fordson High School
Grassroots: Michigan Storm Elite
Strengths:
- Consistent shooter with range
- High basketball IQ – Good understanding of the ebbs and flows of the game
- Versatility – She is able to play and guard multiple positions
- Cluthch player – She plays big in big moments
- Plays with passion – You can tell that she loves the game when she plays. That turns into energy and effort in games and practice.
Areas To Improve:
- Becoming a stronger defensive player
- Mental toughness
Biggest Basketball Moment:
“My biggest moment in basketball was hitting a game wining 3 pointer in overtime sudden death to win the championship last year in the LBI tournament.” -Milan Berry
Goals:
“My ultimate goals as a basketball player include becoming the toughest defensive player, acceptance from a reputable Division 1 college, becoming a role model for female athletes in my community and becoming the best version of myself!” – Milan Berry
Mia Nightingale
Grad Year: 2021
Position: Point Guard
School: Allen Park High School (has played varsity since her freshman season)
Strengths:
- Communication skills – always talking and communicating with her teammates both on and off the court
- Anticipation – She seems to be 1 step ahead of the action
- Aggressive defender – She plays that end really hard and leaves nothing behind
- Shooting – Able to hit a jumper from basically anywhere on the floor
- Finish through contact – She uses her strength to finish through contact
Areas To Improve:
- Foot speed
- Expanding ball handling skills
Biggest Basketball Moment:
“My biggest moment in basketball would be from last season against Woodhaven when I had 17 points, 5 3 pointers, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.” – Mia Nightingale
