Indya Davis Indya Davis 5'9" | SG West Bloomfield | 2024 State MI made the shot heard around the state at the Breslin Center Friday night. With only seconds remaining, Indya sprinted through a staggered double screen and fired a long 3 from the right wing off the catch. Her shot banked in at the buzzer, sending the game into overtime. West Bloomfield rode the wave of momentum winning the game and finishing their run as state champions. Indya relentlessly rebounded both days, 17 boards total, and added 28 points. Her clutch shot will be remembered and Michiganders will enjoy following her at Georgia next season.

Indya Davis Indya Davis 5'9" | SG West Bloomfield | 2024 State MI was absolutely outstanding in a matchup of 2 of the state’s elite teams. She was excellent on both ends of the floor, which is the usual for her. Davis scored a very efficient and effective 18 points in the game. She worked for good looks at the rim and converted when she got them.

Davis is an elite prospect on a national scale and will be headed to Georgia when her college career begins. She’s a strong and physical player that attacks and chases down rebounds. Davis has a lot of versatility, with an ability to handle and dish like a lead guard but defend and rebound all over the floor.

Davis was doing Davis things in an impressive West Bloomfield win against Groves. She was once again an almost impossible matchup. Her basketball IQ, physicality and athleticism is just different than your typical high school game. Davis finished with 22 points and was solid defensively as well.

Davis does a ton of things at an elite level, including defending the perimeter. She takes pride in her lockdown defense and can shut down very high level scorers. Davis can pick up at half court and force bad decisions from her opponent.

One half of the Davis twins that led her team back to Breslin last season, where they fell to Rockford in the Finals. The Georgia commit was a 1st-team All-State selection in the Associated Press and will be in the conversation of Miss Basketball and the Division 1 Player of the Year. She gets it done on both ends of the court and I see a big Senior season coming.

Indya Davis Indya Davis 5'9" | SG West Bloomfield | 2024 State MI continued a memorable grassroots season at the GUAA Finals. Davis seemed like she scored every way but sideways. She finished and scored off both 1 foot and 2 feet. Davis buried jumpers from both mid range and behind the arc while showing that she was a shooting threat off the catch and off the bounce.

This isn’t the first player of the year award with Indya’s name on it and I’m sure it won’t be the last. We all know she can score, but it was her rebounding and defense that really put her over the top this season. Davis’ game seemed to get stronger and more explosive as the season marched on.
