Just one player graduates from the Ar-We-Va roster, which features five key seniors who all started multiple games. <strong>Hannah Kraus</strong>,<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="131231" first="Jadeyn" last="Smith"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="165040" first="Sara" last="Schurke"]</strong> were mainstays in the starting lineup for the Rockets while classmates <strong>Bridget Cameron</strong> and <strong>Maris Cameron</strong> also saw time there. Smith led the team in scoring and rebounding, averaging 14.4 and 9.9. Sophomore <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="160567" first="Maggie" last="Ragaller"]</strong>, Schurke and Cameron were all around the five-point mark per game. Cameron also grabbed over seven rebounds and recorded two steals a night.

Davenport Assumption reached the Class 3A state tournament a year ago before bowing out against Clear Lake. The Knights were tested competing in the Mississippi Athletic Conference which features Class 5A and 4A schools. They went 7-7 to place fourth overall. Sophomore <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="160549" first="Ava" last="Schubert"]</strong> returns after leading Assumption in both scoring and rebounding, averaging almost 10 points and seven boards a night. Senior <strong>Katie Andersen</strong> is also back after knocking down 30 three-pointers as is <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="63607" first="Dawsen" last="Dorsey"]</strong>, a junior who posted 81 steals and 61 assists to lead the Knights.

Atlantic boasted a very large junior class a year ago, and those six players will be looked upon to take the next step as seniors. Returning starters [player_tooltip player_id="164977" first="Haley" last="Rasmussen"], Taylor McCreedy and Maycie Waters were all starters as the Trojans won nine games and advanced to the Class 3A regional semifinals. Rasmussen was the leading scorer, averaging over 17 points per game. McCreedy and Waters posted six and five a night for Atlantic.
