Newcomers are all thru this edition of the 2021 Rankings, we will pick about (10) kids to be apart of this story and we hope you enjoy the evaluations. Sit back and relax with a nice cup of coffee or tea and let me break down these girls games as well as tell you some things you might not know about them. Here we go....
2022, 5’9, SG, Palisades HS, [player_tooltip player_id="204010" first="Demonnie" last="Lagway"] (@demonnie_lagway) - Smooth guard with a nice skillset to her game, she is smooth in transition, she is fearless on the floor and she is relentless. She has a nice sweet shot (all lefties do), and it is consistent out to the three line which makes her a difficult person to guard. She can put it on the floor and get to the rack, but her game that stood out was the midrange game, it was good to see. She should of been on our list and her she is representing for Palisades HS.
2022, 5’7, PG, Flintridge Prep, [player_tooltip player_id="204040" first="Ashlyn" last="Zhang"] - Ashlyn is a crafty left handed point guard with some really good skill set mix in with a stellar approach to the game to win at all cost. She is good off the dribble, she is good going to the rim and finishing, she is a good passer that gives her teammates opportunities to score easy. She is can break down off the dribble and finish at the rim, shoot the floater in traffic, knock down the midrange shot and stroke the three pointer with consistency. She is athletic and can run the floor with her head up to either finish the layup or give her teammate a nice dime to score.
2022, 5’6, SG, ML King HS, [player_tooltip player_id="204045" first="Jordan" last="Arreolla"] - Shifty shooting guard with a nice stroke from the outside, she is crafty, she can handle it and is an all around athlete on the floor. She is a shotmaker, not a shot taker and that goes a long way for a coach who needs a girl who can put the ball in the hole. She can defend the 1 & 2, keeps her opponent in front and is a decent help side defender as well. Her best attribute to the game is her ability to make shots, Coaches, I repeat, her ability to MAKE SHOTS...
2022, 5’5, PG/SG, Rodriguez HS, [player_tooltip player_id="204042" first="Camryn" last="Washington"] - Quick and shifty point guard with a nice game on her, she has improved quite a bit in her consistency on the floor in every aspect. She could always knock down shots, but she has become much more consistent at her shot and it is becoming much more easy for her to create opportunities for herself. This is gonna improve her stat line this year, she will be averaging about 20ppg by the time the season starts. We love her defensive tenacity, she is a ball hawk on the defensive side of the ball, straight thief.
2022, 6’0, SF, Rodriguez HS, [player_tooltip player_id="204043" first="Rose" last="Jamison"] - Rose is another specimen we are intrigued with, she is agile, she has great footwork and knows how to use her body to get anywhere on the court. She can knock down the midrange shot from the short corner or get to the rim and finish thru contact. Rose is a dog on the floor and shows it with tenacity and aggression to score the ball or to defend it as well. She runs the floor well, gets to her spot to score and is capable of blocking shots with her length, she is a player in our opinion. This kid is gonna be special down the road, she is still young.
