It appears likely that the MPSSAA will approve some type of high school season for winter sports after all so that means we will probably get some type of abbreviated, league play only schedule. One of the leagues that I will be watching closely this winter is Harford County. Some of the players on my radar are as follows;
[player_tooltip player_id="137226" first="Madison" last="Nimmo"], C Milton Wright, 2022, Point Guard
Maddie is a very skilled and savvy player who can play both guard positions. She is an excellent ball handler and can knock down shots from beyond the arc. She is tough and gets to the free throw line frequently, where she shoots a high percentage. She will be a top player in the county.
Cassandra Smith, Aberdeen, 2021, Wing
Cassandra had an impressive junior season at Aberdeen. She was recognized for her efforts by being named first team All County by Harford county coaches. She is a smooth and efficient six footer that shoots a high percentage in the paint and in the mid range area. She has a college body right now and is able to defend multiple positions thanks to her foot speed and length. She will be even better in her senior season and is my top candidate for Harford County Player of the year.
Olivia Harris, John Carroll, 2021, Wing
Olivia had good summer even though is was abbreviated due to a scaled down showcase season. A 5'11 guard with a versatile game at both ends of court, look for her to lead the Patriots in scoring and close out her high school career in style.
Jillian Crawford, Fallston, 2022, Guard
Jillian blew up last season leading the team in scoring as a sophomore. She works hard on her game so look for her to come back even better and end up as one of the county's leading scorers. She has good length for a guard and can get her shot off from anywhere on the court.
