It’s never too early for too-early-season. With fall sports and school underway, it’s only a matter of time before the winter sports season is upon us.
With that in mind, here’s a look at some of the teams that should be improved in Class A:
West Fargo
The Packers were a distant fifth best team in the EDC last year, winning 14 games but going a combined 1-9 against the top four teams in the league. West Fargo should be looking to take a big step this winter, as four starters are back including Miriley Simon and Chloe Pfau who are now sophomores.
West Fargo Sheyenne
The Mustangs were more competitive than they were expected to be last season after graduating a huge senior class that was part of a state tournament run. Relying on underclassmen and inexperienced players last year made for some ups and downs, but with a core including [player_tooltip player_id="196887" first="Jadyn" last="Feist"], [player_tooltip player_id="100433" first="Karson" last="Sanders"], [player_tooltip player_id="99819" first="Alivia" last="Manson"] and [player_tooltip player_id="99815" first="Lauren" last="Fagerland"] back in the fold, they should be more competitive this winter.
Watford City
Watford City won just eight games last season and struggled mightily on the offensive end of hte floor last season. The Wolverines return an excellent core of players including a frontcourt that features [player_tooltip player_id="98640" first="Ashley" last="Holen"] and [player_tooltip player_id="99799" first="Madison" last="Spacher"] plus a perimeter including [player_tooltip player_id="14167" first="Emma" last="Mogen"] and Jessica Mogen though, which gives them the upside to contend for a top-half spot in the WDA.
