Through the five Oregon teams that participated in the grandiose Indianapolis event, there were several marquee performances by individuals that stuck out amongst all of the hoopla. Emilia Bishop Emilia Bishop 6'1" | PF Wilsonville | 2021 State OR was a huge enforcer down low, Zoe Borter Zoe Borter 6'0" | SG Beaverton | 2023 State OR was a key scorer, Ericson was a steady point guard, McNamee was a vital piece, and Avery Edwards was one of the most pleasant surprises. Here is part one of the All-Oregon Team for Indianapolis.
Emilia Bishop Emilia Bishop 6'1" | PF Wilsonville | 2021 State OR 2021 6’2” PF Oregon Elite/Wilsonville HS – Bishop’s biggest game came in a huge way, as the Wilsonville product had a staggering 15 points, 7 rebounds, 1 block, and 2 steals. This was reflective of her time in Indianapolis as she showed her ability to score in the paint with her size and frame, which also aided her rebounding and defending abilities. She teamed up with Wilsonville teammate Sydney Burns Sydney Burns 5'8" | PG Wilsonville | 2021 State OR to formulate quite the dynamic duo.
Zoe Borter Zoe Borter 6'0" | SG Beaverton | 2023 State OR 2023 5’11” SG Clutch Players/Beaverton HS – The biggest offensive sparkplug for Clutch Players 2022 was possibly Zoe Borter Zoe Borter 6'0" | SG Beaverton | 2023 State OR , who had a tournament high 17 points for them in Indianapolis. Borter likes to score off the floater, finishes at the rim nicely and can hit the open jumper. She is of the offensively aggressive type but also brings this same mentality when it comes to defense.
Reese Ericson 2022 5’5’ PG Oregon Elite/Lakeridge HS – Reese was the biggest facilitator out of the Oregon Elite 17U Gold group, as she naturally takes on the role of feeding the ball to others around her. She is constantly pushing the tempo and regularly passes it up from half-court before the defense can set up. Her best performance came in the form of 4 points, 8 assists, and 2 steals – she is just as engaged on the defensive end.
Keira McNamee 2021 5’9” SG Oregon Elite/Wilsonville HS – Keira found herself as the catalyst for Oregon Elite 17U White all week long in Indianapolis helping the team score all over the score through her witty passing skills. Versus Clutch Players 2021, she registered 5 points and 5 assists, with the most impressive assist off an inbounds play to herself, as she threw the ball off the back of a defender and scooped it into the hoop.
Avery Edwards 2023 5’8” SG Clutch Players/Jesuit HS – Avery was the biggest surprise for Clutch Players 2021, as she was their youngest player but she provided some of their biggest moments during the week. She scored 16 points in a close win where she was amongst the difference makers, as she hit several huge three pointers in stride and continued to be an offensive force in a game where it mattered the most.
