balled out in the state tournament and earned a unanimous spot on the all-tournament first team. She also led Silverton to a state championship, barely edging out Crater in overtime in the final game. She was one of the leaders in just about every statistic in the tournament. She averaged a double-double, leading all players in both scoring and rebounding with 20.7 and 12.3 rebounds per game, to go along with an impressive 5.3 assists and 3.0 steals per game. Brown had herself a game in the state championship, shooting 6-10 overall and 2-4 from beyond the arc, to finish with 22 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block. Brown will be a treat to watch at Portland State next year.

The Portland State commit continued to show why she is one of the best players in the state at the tournament this past week. The Foxes had a great showing as they had a win over Wilsonville, followed by a close loss to South Medford, and then a hard-fought victory over West Salem for a third-place finish in the Tundra bracket. Brown was consistently dominant with stat-lines like 20 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals, and two blocks against Wilsonville and 29 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals versus South Medford. Big performances like these seem to be a regular occurrence for Brown.

is another no-brainer when asked who you should be watching out for this season. Recently committed to play at Portland State following her high school career, Brown is another player who can simply do it all. A season ago, she averaged 20 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals per game, demonstrating that from her point guard position, she is not afraid to contribute in any way that she can. She is always playing at an electrifying pace, as seen when she flies in for a big rebound or when she pushes the ball in transition. At the state tournament last year, the Foxes finished strong with two wins and a 4th place trophy while Brown was named to the tournament’s first team, and this was following a regular season in which she was named first team all-state, OBCA first team all-state, and the player of the year in the Mid-Willamette Conference. Brown’s talents will be on full display and will be exciting to watch this year during her senior campaign as Silverton seeks to build on their success last season.
