Having proved herself as one of the best talents in the state last season as a freshman, Payton Starwalt Payton Starwalt 5’6″ | CG Crescent Valley | 2027 OR is a name to know this grassroots season and this weekend’s Northwest Cup. Playing for the Valley Tropics 17U team, Starwalt is a lights out shooter from deep and incredible athleticism. She is the type of player that you would never know is so young if you watched her, and who will undoubtedly be playing at the next level in a few years.

Autumn Hart
Autumn Hart is a class of 2025 to keep an eye on. As a long 5’11 shooting guard who earned second team all-PIL honors last season, she has shown off some brilliant play on the court and also has a build that college coaches will want to keep an eye on. Hart plays for Oregon Elite ‘s Navy team, which is filled with a lot of talent and will be competing at the Northwest Cup this weekend.

Love Lei Best
Love Lei Best has yet to begin her high school career, but has already made a name for herself as one of the top young prospects in Oregon. A member of the class of 2028, Best has already received multiple collegiate offers and upon watching her, it is no surprise why. She is a gifted point guard with excellent handles and vision, while also showing off her incredible scoring ability at all three levels. Best plays for the Maurice Lucas Lady Enforcers , a team comprised of 2027s and 2028s, but they will be playing up in the 17U division at the Northwest Cup this weekend.
Audrey Counts Audrey Counts 5’10” | PF Wilsonville | 2025 State OR is another member of that talented Oregon Elite Navy team that will be competing at the Northwest Cup this weekend. Counts is an all out hustle player, every coach’s dream, and a constant force on the class. She also has a smooth touch and combine that with her 5’10 frame, she is a tough matchup for anyone. Counts is set to have a big-time senior season at Wilsonville High School following this grassroots season.

Another long shooting guard that college coaches should be sure to watch is Karina Franco Karina Franco 6’0″ | SF Grant | 2025 OR . Franco is a 2025 who goes to Grant High School and currently plays for Oregon Overtime’s 17U team. She is 5’11 and her length allows her to be a constant threat on the defensive end with tips, steals, and blocks, and she has the ability to score from just about anywhere. Coming off a second team all-PIL nod, Franco will be someone to keep an eye on this summer and next season.
