Breakdown:
Poulvaati: Versatility
Upon first glance, you notice Olivia’s sheer size alone and then watching her play you see that she is flat out productive on the glass and in the low-post scoring scenario. She dazzled with her adept passing skills, as she has excellent decision making skills along with excellent outlet passing skills that simply cannot be taught. She stuffed the stat sheet with a 5 point, 7 rebound, 4 assist performance and showed that she has several ways to impact the game – and do it with flair.
Audrey Kehoe: Low Post Scorer
Kehoe had the best game of the summer, with a 12 point, 5 rebound showing in which she was perhaps the most consistent cog inside the low-post for the Stars. She shows immense fluidity in the basket along with evasiveness. Her confidence has certainly made strides along the summer and she is a threat in the paint at any given moment. A solid rebounder and defender who is now a two way threat for the NW Stars and her teammates and peers have certainly noticed as she had several sequences where she scored on back to back possessions.
Young Talent
The most noticeable thing about this group is that it is frontloaded with young talent – some of them yet to enter high school yet. Jazzy Davidson is a precocious talent with immense length, skills, and fluidity as a wing that is quite frankly, sensational to watch. Avery Peterson is a guard who is exciting to watch as she shows a lot of promise as a floor general type guard. Jamison Reagan, 2024 guard for Camas HS, is an electric passer who augments the pace with her adept passing skills in the transition setting.
