Heading into their Junior seasons, I expect some of these top 2022s to start getting D1 offers. Here’s the players I think are most likely to find themselves with a D1 offer soon. The list is based off of checking social media. If they have offers and didn’t report them, there’s no way for me to know.
Mia Hale Mia Hale 5'9" | SF Estill County | 2022 State KY , Estill County – Hale has been hovering around the top 10 of our 2022 rankings since the started and has caught the eyes of several NAIA and D2 coaches. Her first D1 offer could be near. Mia is an excellent scorer that gets overlooked a little because of her school not being a basketball powerhouse like some in Kentucky. It likely won’t be until next AAU season (the good lord willing we have a normal one) but I do think Mia will find herself with a couple of D1 opportunities.
Riley Neal Riley Neal 5'11" | SF North Oldham | 2022 State KY , North Oldham – Need a bucket? Riley is an excellent scorer. Need a rebound? She’s one of the best in the state. While Neal has been putting up monster high school numbers, she’s still waiting on those offers to come rolling in but her production level is so high that she shouldn’t need to wait much longer. Some in-state school would be wise to extend an offer in the near future.
Halle Langhi Halle Langhi 6'1" | C Marshall County | 2022 State KY , Marshall County – In 2020, Halle is the rarest of the rare. She doesn’t have a Twitter account so I had to ask the local newspaper writer there if she has any offers. Langhi could have a path as a D1 volleyball player more than basketball as she is a star in both sports. The daughter of former SEC player of the year Dan Langhi, the genetics are strong with Halle and with her size and production, there’s no reason she shouldn’t finish high school with D1 offers in both sports.
Anaya Brown Anaya Brown 6'0" | C Lafayette | 2022 State KY , Lafayette – Coaches love size and athleticism and Anaya has both. At 6 foot tall, Brown is a good post player with solid footwork and athleticism. In addition to being an excellent runner in cross country and track, Anaya carries a high GPA and averages a double-double on the court. Don’t sleep on her getting a D1 offer if she keeps progressing like she has so far in her career. Her combination of size, athleticism, grades and overall potential is going to draw coaches attention and offers should roll in.
