Several players at the PGH Ohio Top 250 Expo showed a lot of promise and looks to put together a solid upcoming season.
Carmen Hueker, 5-6 2022, Botkins
She may be a sleeper at the statewide level, but this guard has become one of the most talented in the Shelby County League in Southwest Ohio. Carmen (featured photo above) is a strong floor leader who can read things in advance and has a solid basketball IQ. She has very solid handles with the ability to not only control the ball and the tempo of the game, she also is a solid passer and will utilize the best shot for her team. She has good perimeter range and is a solid defender. In addition to being an effective perimeter scorer, she is also athletic enough to get to the rim and score.

One thing she won’t lack in is aggressiveness. Tandra (pictured left) is a solid defender with her physical play and she switches well. She can turn up the speed and becomes a big threat on offense, but she needs to play at that kind of level every minute. She has good handles and a quick and efficient crossover, enabling her to get by her defender. As a passer, Tandra will find the open player.
Lizzy Allen, 5-4 2022 Edgewood
Lizzy (pictured right) showed some good floor leadership during the games that I saw last weekend as she looks to put together a solid junior year at Edgwwood. She did a solid job finding the open player and she moved well without the ball. She can play in different styles of offense, and can push the ball in transition well. A high energy kid, her talent continues to blossom.
Rylee Troth, 5-5 2022, Wayne Trace
Rylee (pictured left) definitely has a nose for the ball. Even for her size, she does a nice job getting herself into position in the paint to rebound the ball. She can move around the floor on offense, and looks to get everyone involved. Has the ability to pick and roll and finish at the rim.
Keiara Gregory, 5-5 2022, Lakota West
A physical, aggressive guard who will play in your face on the defensive end. Smart, heady player with a good basketball IQ. I loved her intensity last weekend as she focused on getting her teammates involved. Athletic player who can play a solid uptempo style of game (pictured right).
Sara Reis, 5-9 2021 Kettering Alter
Sara (pictured left) is an efficient perimeter player who can score from beyond the arc. Good handles, always looking to make herself better. Smart basketball IQ and fundamentally sound. Does a good job on the boards. Looks to use her experience to help the Knights this season.
