Youtube Evals Class of 2021: Part 4 By Michael Wholey 11/17/20 9:00 AM EST In the COVID-19 2020 world we are living in, video and highlight films have become more and more prominent and important. We will be posting evaluations from the videos weekly. In Youtube Evals Class of 2021: Part 4 we take a look at some of the states 2021 prospects.   [player_tooltip player_id="145100" first="Jayla" last="Murray"] (Winter Haven HS / FGB) Murray is a long and athletic 6’1 wing / forward. She has a great combination of size and athleticism and is an active player that is around the ball and in the mix in every play. On defense her activity level combined with her length and athleticism make her an impactful defender as she active in the passing lanes often stealing or deflecting skip passes. She challenges the opposing teams’ shots from help side defense and is a good rebounder. Offensively she does a good job running the floor and has teammates on her high school team that look for her running the floor and feed her for easy buckets. She is left-handed and gets to the rim often and has as nice left handed runner when she can’t get all the way to the rim. Defenses have a hard time guarding her in 1on1 and ball screen situations often brining double teams. She rebounds well from the guard position and does good job getting to the rim off a shot fake or a 1v1 move. Tough, physical guard who finishes well vs contact and plays hard every possession. https://youtu.be/-FSVOZ7uSfE   [player_tooltip player_id="91515" first="Isabella" last="Reynolds"] (Archbishop McCarthy HS / Miami Suns) Big, scoring wing who has a silky, smooth game. She plays each game with a ton of poise never getting sped up. She is a natural scorer who has great size and can score in multiple ways. Very good 3-point shooter from all spots on the court. She has a quick first step and can attack off the dribble and use her size to finish at the rim vs contact and over defenders. In high school she often gets slid down the forward position and she is big enough to defend the opposing teams post players and is an impactful shot blocker and rebounder. https://youtu.be/7K9VITz-Sqk   [player_tooltip player_id="220018" first="Angel" last="Roman"] (Osceola High School) 5’2 Point Guard who has really good handle and is very good at change of direction off the bounce. Quick and explosive with the ball in her hands and hunts the paint. She is a hustle player who is a pesty defender and does a good job wearing out the opposing teams PG. She plays tough and physical and uses her size and mass well. Right hand dominant who is an impactful player in the paint and effective rebounder. https://youtu.be/V6NNJ3deYdQ   Khaliyah Simms (Miami Killian Senior HS) Long, wing player with decent handle and good finisher at the rim. Has good hops and rebounds well from the guard position. Is best when in transition attacking off the dribble and running the lanes. Her game will really expand as she continues to improve her perimeter shooting and handle. She is an accurate 3-point shooter who turn the game around when she gets hot from the perimeter and is capable of knocking down 3-4 in a row. She pushes the tempo both by attacking in the open court with the ball in her hands and by running the lanes. She is a downhill penetrator with a quick first step that likes to drive to the basket from the top of the key. She is very active on the defensive end and covers a lot of ground with the combination of her athleticism, lateral speed and good instincts. https://youtu.be/ipyWMPW9rhI     [player_tooltip player_id="151184" first="Camila" last="Sosa"] (Bishop Moore HS / TNBA) Small, aggressive guard who looks to hunt the paint off the dribble and get to the rim. She is crafty with the ball in her hands and a creative finisher with ability to score using her left and right vs contact. Hustle player that plays hard on the defensive end, not afraid to step in and take the charge, contests every shot, and does a good job rebounding from the guard spot. Capable 3-point shooter with good passing skills.
