Prep Girls Hoops took in the action on Sunday afternoon over at Scott’s Branch HS for the Zaxby’s Tip Off Classic. Prep Girls Hoops was able to watch 3 games to start the season. Lets take a look at some of the results before breaking down performances from the day right here.

River Bluff HS came out to start the day with a win over Socastee HS 54-42. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="185222" first="Samira" last="Khalil"]</strong> (2024) led the way for the Gators with 13 points (unofficial book keeping). Khalil plays very mature and poised for her age on the floor. Khalil really has a smooth stroke along with her game. <strong>Jaden Tucker</strong> added 11 points in the win.

The Braves made the trip up from Myrtle Beach and never could get going in this one. River Bluff HS led 33-21 at the halftime break. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171801" first="Anna" last="Reese Pratt"] (</strong>2024) really turned it on in the second half on her way to a 14 point evening. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="215716" first="Mariah" last="Leinbach"]</strong> (2021) chipped in with 12 points for the Lady Braves.
The Sumter HS Lady Gamecocks led the from start to finish with Carolina Forest HS. The Lady Gamecocks won its season opener 53-18. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171802" first="Kiara" last="Croskey"]</strong> led the way with 15 points (unofficial). Croskey scored the ball at the rim at will all day long. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="124080" first="Layken" last="Cox"]</strong> (2021) a Gardner Webb signee finished with 10 points all around the paint.

The Lady Panthers just couldn’t manage much of anything today vs a feisty Lady Gamecocks defense. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="175333" first="Reilly" last="Ward"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="175331" first="Gabby" last="Giracello"]</strong> will provide senior leadership this season for Head Coach Stacy Hughes.

The Estill HS Lady Fighting Gators improved to (2-0) with a win over the host Scott’s Branch HS 48-30. The Lady Fighting Gators outscored the Lady Eagles 17-0 in the second quarter onto a 25-10 halftime score. Estill HE was led in scoring by <strong>Jalashia Polite</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="216957" first="Kadejah" last="Smoak"]</strong> both with 13 points. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171781" first="Nykia" last="Mitchell"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171803" first="Tamyia" last="Hutchinson"]</strong> both finished with 11 points.
