As the season begins to take shape, this holiday break is the perfect time to start looking ahead - both to the rest of this basketball campaign and the future.
We want to offer up thoughts and highlight those players from each class and each grade level some publicity to try and help them gain the attention of a college coach or two.

<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="129030" first="Payton" last="Beckman"], Panorama (2022)</strong>
Panorama’s [player_tooltip player_id="129030" first="Payton" last="Beckman"] is off to a fast start, scoring a Class 3A high for juniors with 148 points. She also has 35 steals, 28 rebounds and 18 assists.
Beckman is shooting nearly 40 percent from the field with 15 made 3-pointers. She is also effective getting to and converting at the free throw line, making 83 percent of her 40 attempts.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="63641" first="Jaydan" last="Nitchals"], Estherville-Lincoln Central (2022)</strong>
Night in and night out, Estherville-Lincoln Central can count on [player_tooltip player_id="63641" first="Jaydan" last="Nitchals"] for production. The talented junior has 135 points scored with 66 rebounds, 18 assists, eight steals and seven blocked shots.
Nitchals is shooting nearly 48 percent from the field, 82 percent from the free throw line and has knocked down 16 three-pointers.
<strong>Jaden Ainley, Clear Lake (2022)</strong>
Part of the ever-growing list of top players out of the Clear Lake program, Jaden Ainley has excelled this winter. Over the first eight games of the season, she has scored 132 points with 44 rebounds, 27 assists and 24 steals.
Ainley is shooting 50 percent from the field, has made 21 of 29 free throws and has knocked down seven 3-pointers.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="63568" first="Brooklyn" last="Meyer"], West Lyon (2022)</strong>
West Lyon’s [player_tooltip player_id="63568" first="Brooklyn" last="Meyer"] is one of the top inside players in the state. At 6-foot-2, Meyer has blocked 37 shots through seven games this season.
She is also shooting nearly 46 percent from the field, scoring 86 points with 73 rebounds, 15 assists and nine steals. Meyer has also flexed her game out, attempting 11 three-pointers on the year.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="129066" first="Avery" last="Hanson"], Hampton-Dumont/CAL (2022)</strong>
Along with classmate [player_tooltip player_id="163329" first="Lauren" last="Meader"], Hampton-Dumont’s [player_tooltip player_id="129066" first="Avery" last="Hanson"] has made strides in her all-around game. Hanson has scored 115 points with 57 rebounds, 17 steals, 15 assists and six blocked shots in six games.
Hanson is shooting almost 42 percent from the field with 10 made triples. She is also effective at the free throw line, making 68 percent of her attempts.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="129039" first="Maddie" last="Nonnenmann"], Mid-Prairie (2022)</strong>
With the ability to play inside and outside, the 6-foot [player_tooltip player_id="129039" first="Maddie" last="Nonnenmann"] has continued to make an impact on the hardwood for Mid-Prairie. Nonnenmann has scored 111 points with 65 rebounds, 16 assists, 14 steals and five blocked shots.
Nonnenmann is shooting almost 47 percent from the field, 75 percent from the free throw line and has made five 3-pointers.
