Dillon HS vs Georgetown HS

Prep Girls Hoops took in the action from the Region 7-3A game last night in Georgetown. Both teams came into the contest with the same (1-4) records. The Lady Wildcats led 22-21 heading into the halftime break. The game went back and forth in the 2nd half before [player_tooltip player_id="250479" first="<strong>Kamirah" last="James</strong>"] scored the last 4 points on the contest to help the Lady Wildcats win 39-35 on the road. <strong>Class of 2025</strong> <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-250535" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/01/4489C786-5398-48D4-B0E9-26B0C259B82F.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="250481" first="Mariah" last="Campbell"]</strong> (2025) is the future of Lady Wildcats basketball in Dillon. Campbell a point guard plays the game very under-control for her age. Campbell plays at a good pace and really sees the floor well from out top to find her open teammates on the floor. Campbell was able to drop a few floaters this evening on her way to 9 points. <strong>Class of 2024 </strong> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="250480" first="Jerchel" last="Geathers"]</strong> (2024) scored just 5 points in the contest for the Lady Bulldogs. Geathers is a very intriguing player with her ability to step-out and play away from the basket. Geathers 6’0 has a good skill set and some deceptive footwork down in the paint. Geathers can knockdown the 3 ball and has a decent stroke to say the least from the perimeter. Geathers understands keeping the ball up high in after rebounding it. James scored some cheapies in transition along with a few pull-up jumpers in transition. James scored the final 4 points in the game to secure the road win  for the Lady Wildcats. James finished the game with 16 points to help the Lady Wildcats move to (2-4) on the year. <strong>Bulldogs Senior </strong> The Lady Bulldogs got a solid contribution from <strong>NorVajha Petitfere</strong> (2021) last night in the loss. Petitfere a small forward finished with 11 points. Petitfere went down with what looked like to be a serious knee injury with 18.2 seconds left in the first half. Petitfere was able to walk off the floor and return for the Lady Bulldogs. <strong>Wildcats Senior </strong> <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-250532" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/01/F6169EA9-0CA9-4A8F-8D13-690E3B0A8AF2.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> <strong>Deanna Lane</strong> (2021) a left-handed shooting guard finished the game with 8 points in the win. &nbsp;
