The Big North Conference is big in size and in talent. Let’s take a look at some of the elite duos heading into the upcoming season.
Katy Gashler (2021) & Meghan Riedel (2021) | Westwood
Gashler is an elite big in New Jersey. She led Westwood in points, rebounds, and blocks as a junior. She is one of the top prospects in the Class of 2021. Riedel is a nice compliment out on the perimeter. She led Westwood in assists last season and was their best three-point shooter.
[player_tooltip player_id="134639" first="Madison" last="Schiller"] (2022) & [player_tooltip player_id="155552" first="Lauren" last="Achter"] (2021) | Ramapo
The Class of 2022 is extremely deep around the state and Schiller has to be mentioned. She scored 530 points a season ago and did it from all three levels. Achter handled business in the post. She was a double-double machine as a junior.
[player_tooltip player_id="134620" first="Janel" last="Moore"] (2021) & Isabella Javier (2023) | Paramus Catholic
Moore led Paramus Catholic in scoring last season and will have one more year to build her reputation further. She is one of the most underrated players in the state. Javier made an impact as a freshman and will take on a much more extended role on the offensive end this year.
Katie Graves (2021) & Daniella Bonanno (2021) | Ramsey
Graves and Bonanno are two guards that know each other well and can be microwaves on the perimeter. They balance each other well on both ends which is a reason Ramsey has found success in recent years.
Meghan Heaney (2022) & Colleen Heaney (2022) | Dumont
Dumont clearly has a dynamic duo in the Class of 2022. The Heaney’s combined to make 89 three’s 104 free throws, and score a total of 597 points a season ago. They will continue to grow during their years as upperclassmen.
Kelly Andreason (2021) & Jules Vassallo (2022) | Pascack Valley
Andreason is a marksman from deep and she showed it last season by knocking down 84 three’s. She will continue her dominance this season along with Vassallo, who will become a leader within the offense.
[player_tooltip player_id="134623" first="A’Nyah" last="Barker"] (2021) & Gina Giaccione (2022) | Immaculate Heart
Immaculate Heart will enter the season without [player_tooltip player_id="134583" first="Anna" last="Morris"] which means they will need their duo to step up. It begins with Barker, who is the team’s leading returning scorer. Giaccione can fill it up from deep, finishing with 38 made three’s as a sophomore.
