Poll: Prep Girls Hoops Player of the Week

We are bringing back our Player of the Week polls for this season. Here’s a look at this week’s nominees. Polls close at noon eastern time on Friday! These were all nominated via our Twitter. Leah Macy, Elizabethtown - The 8th grader had 20 points and 13 rebounds in a win over Nelson County, 20 points and 2 rebounds against South Warren and 19 points and 25 rebounds against Webster County. That set the school record for most rebounds in a game. Sydney Lockard Sydney Lockard 5'6" | PG Dixie Heights | 2021 State KY , Dixie Heights - The Kentucky Wesleyan signee had 16 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals in a win over Campbell County then 22 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals against Ryle. Jacqueline Jackson Jacqueline Jackson 5'7" | SG Greenwood | 2021 State KY , Greenwood - The Senior had 12 points and 4 rebounds in a win over Glasgow, 16 points and 4 rebounds in a loss to Bowling Green and 35 points in a win over Allen County-Scottsville. Kayra Freeman Kayra Freeman 5'5" | PG Elizabethtown | 2021 State KY , Elizabethtown - The guard averaged 19.7 points and 2.3 rebounds with 2.3 assists and 3.3 steals in 3 wins for the Lady Panthers including a career high 35 points in the season opening win over Nelson County. Ella Thompson Ella Thompson 6'0" | PF Bethlehem | 2021 State KY , Bethlehem - The Senior forward averaged 23 points, 9 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 4.8 steals and 1.8 blocks per game while her team went 4-0. Halle Collins, North Laurel - In a 3 game week, the 8th grader helped her team to 3 wins while putting up 20 points against Red Bird, 25 points and 14 rebounds against Somerset and 22 points and 14 rebounds against Casey County. Julia Hunt, Covington Holy Cross - The Freshman had 18 points, 7 blocks and 8 rebounds against Ludlow on Friday then 22 points, 18 rebounds and 9 blocks against Newport Central Catholic on Saturday. Mattie Streble, Louisville Holy Cross - The Sophomore had 16 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals in a win over Highlands Latin. LynKaylah James, Bowling Green - In 3 wins on the week, the Junior averaged 22 points and 13 rebounds while shooting 54% from the field, 83% from three and 81% at the free throw line. Caylan Mills Caylan Mills 5'7" | SG Knox Central | 2022 State KY , Knox Central - The Junior helped Knox win 2 games in the opening week. She averaged 21 points and 3.5 rebounds with shooting splits of 58/33/67 for the pair of wins. Skylar Waller, Calloway County - Another 8th grader on the list, Waller had averages of 19.3 points and 6.7 rebounds while shooting 42% from the field and 36% from 3. Shaelynn Harris, Montgomery County - She had 19 points and 13 rebounds against Bourbon County, 17 points and 6 rebounds against West Jessamine and no stats were given for the third game against George Rogers Clark. Ellie Heid Ellie Heid 5'6" | CG Portland Christian | 2023 State KY , Portland Christian - She led her team to a 3-0 week while averaging 29 points per game with games of 25, 31 and 31 and averaging 4 assists per contest. Ella White, Henry County - She only played one game in the opening week but she put up 32 points, 6 rebounds and 4 steals in the game. Jaya McClure Jaya McClure 5'6" | PG Christian Academy Louisville | 2022 State KY , CAL - The Junior PG had 19 points, 25 points and 21 points while averaging 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals to go with all her points. Allison Spieker, Whitefield Academy - Whitefield won all 3 games while averaging 20.3 points and 6.3 rebounds including a 31 point game against Adair County Saturday. Timothi Williams Timothi Williams 5'7" | SG Great Crossing | 2022 State KY , Great Crossing - She had 26 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists against Rowan County then 20 points, 6 rebounds and an assist against Bryan Station. Laci Reinhart Laci Reinhart 5'7" | CG Dixie Heights | 2021 State KY , Dixie Heights - The guard had 26 points and 5 rebounds against Campbell County and 3 points and 1 rebound against Ryle. Kensley Feltner Kensley Feltner 5'9" | SF Lawrence County | 2023 State KY , Lawrence County - Against Hazard, she had 27 points and 12 rebounds with 7 assists. Against Pike Central she had 19 points, 3 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals. Against East Carter, she had 21 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Shelby Stewart Shelby Stewart 5'8" | SG Corbin | 2022 State KY , Corbin - In 3 games, she averaged 18 points 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals. Kallie Housley, Corbin - In 3 games, she averaged 19 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals. Macey Blevins Macey Blevins 5'11" | SG Wayne County | 2021 State KY , Wayne County - She only played one game and she had 20 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals.
