2021 HoopSource President’s Day Showcase All Oregon Team Part 1

After an extended weekend in Arizona at the 2021 HoopSource Presidents’ Day Showcase, we were shown great talent and collected efforts from teams in Oregon as they duked it out with other teams along the West Coast.  Amongst these games and performances a few particular individuals stood out amongst the rest.  Toni Coleman Toni Coleman 5'5" | PG South Medford | 2021 State OR was the instinctual and fast tempo guard for Marathon Elite as Kaili Chamberlin Kaili Chamberlin 5'9" | SG South Medford | 2021 State OR was the high IQ guard who makes plays out of thin air happen.  Jazzy Davidson was the precocious scoring talent for NW Select whereas Kennedie Shuler Kennedie Shuler 5'10" | PG Sam Barlow | 2023 State OR was the refined floor general.  Liv Knapp Liv Knapp 5'6" | PG Liberty | 2021 State OR was the scoring specialist for Oregon Triple whereas Grace Leasure was the forward with poise and discipline in the paint.

Toni Coleman Toni Coleman 5'5" | PG South Medford | 2021 State OR 2021 5’5″ PG Marathon Elite/South Medford HS – All weekend long, Toni was a constant spark as the elusive, speedy guard for Marathon Elite with a quick first step and can finish with the best of them at the rim.  A dedicated defender with good lateral movements who has a relentless motor out on the floor.  Her 12 point, 4 rebound, 2 assist, 2 steal performance versus NW Select was indicative of this.

Kaili Chamberlin Kaili Chamberlin 5'9" | SG South Medford | 2021 State OR 2021 5’9″ SG Marathon Elite/South Medford HS – Chamberlin’s trademark performance came versus Grandview Starzz where the South Medford guard poured in an inspiring 22 point, 10 rebound, 7 steal performance where during crunch time she sank a three, stole the ball around half-court and put it in – giving Marathon Elite a chance in a close game.  A truly heroic individual performance.

Jazzy Davidson 2025 6’1″ PF NW Select – Jazzy contributed 13 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks versus Marathon Elite as a multifaceted and highly skilled scorer who can create opportunities for her and herself with her immensely refined offensive repertoire.  Davidson’s long limbs serves her perfectly as a rim protector who challenges and blocks shots at the rim with ease.  She is an incredibly varied scorer who has innate talent.

Kennedie Shuler Kennedie Shuler 5'10" | PG Sam Barlow | 2023 State OR 2023 5’9″ PG NW Select/Barlow HS – Shuler was a leader for NW Select, particularly in their Gold Seeded Bracket Final versus a tough Baroness EBO squad where she never let up and applied pressure as a facilitator, scorer, and defender.  She made plays for herself and others throughout the game and was a difference maker in her 6 point, 5 rebound, 4 assist, 2 block, 2 steal effort.

Grace Leasure 2022 6’0″ PF Oregon Triple/Oregon City HS – Grace is a newcomer for Oregon Triple – a forward with good size and skills in the low-post.  She has good fluidity around the rim for someone of her stature and size and is a natural rebounder and rim protector.  Versus ABA, she chipped in a superb 6 point, 6 rebound effort where she went up against a formidable foe and had good results as an interior scorer and difference maker.

Liv Knapp Liv Knapp 5'6" | PG Liberty | 2021 State OR 2021 5’6″ SG Oregon Triple/Liberty HS – Liv came to life versus ABA as she had a scoring spark that started at the end of the first half with an ensemble of skilled dribbling maneuvers that led to quick points for her club.  Her 16 point, 4 rebound, 4 assist performance for Oregon Triple was a cornerstone for their close game as they played a truly inspired performance in a close two point loss.
