The featured image is of [player_tooltip player_id="88414" first="Marissa" last="Gasaway"] of Silver Creek High School. The 2021 class wasn’t privileged to much of a grassroots season between their Junior and Senior years, therefore many of them haven’t received as much college attention as prospects in years past. I wanted to take the time to point out the remaining uncommitted prospects in the 2021 class position by position, while highlighting five from each position group at the bottom of each article. Below is a look at the 27 power forward prospects who, to the best of my knowledge, remain uncommitted as far as a college commitment goes. There will be one more follow-up article highlighting the uncommitted post prospects from the Class of 2021 to follow very soon.

[player_tooltip player_id="88414" first="Marissa" last="Gasaway"], 6-0 PF, Silver Creek H.S. Marissa came to Silver Creek just this season, but she certainly made her impact felt. Heading into the Class 3A State Finals later today, she has averaged 12.4 points and 12.2 rebounds per game. In the Semi-State game last week, she was only able to score six points, but she grabbed 20 huge boards. She is strong, athletic, and she plays with a nice motor. With the 2021 class about to enter March, I am sure there will be several Division-I schools who will give her a hard look, as they work to fill their remaining roster spots. Marissa definitely has talent, physicality, and nice upside, but the next step for her will be to put together a bit more complete offensive game away from the basket. 74. [player_tooltip player_id="99389" first="Natalie" last="Howard"], 6-0 PF, Ben Davis H.S. Natalie is someone who has quickly risen through the PGH Indiana rankings over the last two updates. When I first saw her almost two years ago, you could definitely see a great deal of potential. She has a strong, athletic frame, she is an explosive athlete in all directions, but at that time, she was limited a bit skillfully the farther she moved away from the block. This season, that has changed, as a new coach has really helped her expand her game and be more of an offensive contributor. She led the 13-8 Lady Giants in scoring at 14.2 points per game on the 10th toughest schedule in the state, per Sagarin Ratings. I’m curious to see where she lands, because her ceiling is as high as anyone’s. 134. [player_tooltip player_id="130331" first="Lauren" last="Sandrock"], 5-11 PF, Franklin Community H.S. On the surface, Lauren’s statistics don’t jump off the page. However, when you consider she was surrounded by several guards and wings who led the state in 3-point attempts this year, her job was simply to keep the ball alive offensively, and give them great effort defensively. She accepted her role and fulfilled it well. When you watch Lauren and use the "eye test", she is a long, somewhat slender, but fluid, fast, and rather bouncy forward who plays with a lot of energy. She has skill in the mid-post, she can score it on the move in transition, and she’s a versatile defender who can either sit down and guard wings or forwards, plus she can protect the paint by defending the rim. 155. [player_tooltip player_id="130363" first="Remi" last="Jordan"], 6-0 PF/C, Knox H.S. Remi was a four-year starter at Knox who was a part of four 20-win teams (88 wins in total). She is always productive and versatile, as she can play with her back to the basket, but she always seems much more comfortable in the mid-post and the short-corners where she has great touch at 15-feet. Remi has some length, good all-around strength, and she plays with a really nice motor. She is always pursuing rebounds, getting on the floor for loose balls, plus she can protect the paint, blocking a number of shots throughout her career. I think she could be a tremendous small college post who can play more of a traditional ’5’ role, while also being able to stretch the defense a bit. 168. [player_tooltip player_id="130368" first="Amaya" last="Thomas"], 5-11 PF/C, Evansville Central H.S. Amaya is a small college hidden gem, buried down in Evansville. She is strong, physical, and tough, she’s a solid all-around athlete, but what stands out the most to me about Amaya is her nonstop motor. She hasn’t been blessed to be on great teams at Central, yet she never quits, always fighting for one more possession, trying to get one more basket, one more rebound, or one more loose ball. Offensively, she isn’t going to stray to far away from the rim, but she has figured out how to use her body to create space and score against longer, taller players. She has good hands, she’s a solid finisher, and she can make free throws. Defensively, she just battles whoever is in front of her without hesitation.
