District 10: Preview And Predictions

The District brackets have been released. There are some really good matchups and potential matchups that lie ahead. We will start by taking a look at District 10, which is one district that really stood out. <h3>OVERVIEW</h3> This District stood out to me due to the strength at the top. There are 3 powerhouse teams in East Grand Rapids, East Kentwood, and Byron Center. All 3 of these teams have the talent to make extremely deep runs in the state tournament. Whoever comes out of District 10 will have earned it and be battle tested for the games to come. <h3>PREDICTIONS</h3> This district is so tough to predict. No matter who I pick, I won’t be surprised if any of the 3 teams mentioned above walk away with the trophy. 1ST ROUND Grand Rapids Ottawa Hills vs. Caledonia Prediction:  Caledonia Wyoming vs. Byron Center Prediction:  Byron Center Middleville Thornapple Kellogg vs. East Kentwood Prediction:  East Kentwood SEMIFINALS Caledonia vs. East Grand Rapids Prediction:  East Grand Rapids Byron Center vs. East Kentwood Prediction:  East Kentwood CHAMPIONSHIP East Grand Rapids vs. East Kentwood Prediction:  East Grand Rapids <h3>PLAYERS TO WATCH</h3> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="4142" first="Jillian" last="Brown"] (2021, CG, East Grand Rapids)</strong> The senior star should be talked about as a Miss Basketball contender. Brown is simply one of the best in the state. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="188582" first="Macy" last="Brown"] (2023, PG, East Grand Rapids)</strong> She’s a D1 talent through and through. Brown may be in the Miss Basketball talk, like her sister, in a couple years. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="189281" first="McKenna" last="Ferguson"] (2023, SG, Byron Center)</strong> If Ferguson gets hot from outside, the rest of the district needs to watch out. She’s a top talent in the class of 2023. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="138328" first="Alexis" last="McCully"] (2021, PG, East Kentwood)</strong> McCully just keeps improving and is now one of the top playmaking points in the state. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="138317" first="Madisyn" last="Tillman"] (2021, C, East Kentwood)</strong> If you like to see low post talent, she’s the player for you.
