Three days, twelve games, and four champions. A basketball junkie like me couldn't miss a single game. For the third straight year, I had a blast providing live Prep Girls Hoops coverage at the Breslin Center during the MHSAA State Semifinals and Finals from opening tip to final buzzer. Many players impacted the games, but these D3 prospects separated themselves the most on the biggest stage.

[player_tooltip player_id='893890' first='Elly' last=''] added more memorable moments to her legacy at Pewamo-Westphalia at the Breslin Center. She was in the zone for the Pirates, erupting for 20 points during their semifinal victory against Roscommon. [player_tooltip player_id='893890' first='Elly' last=''] attacked downhill and finished through contact at the rim. She knocked down threes, beat full-court pressure, and generated steals on the defensive end. In the Championship Game, [player_tooltip player_id='893890' first='Elly' last=''] led the Pirates again, scoring 12 points with five rebounds and three assists. She buried a deep wing three, slashed to the hoop for layups, anticipated passes to grab steals on the defensive end, and threw a great lob pass through a small window for an assist to a cutter.

Adrianna was a difference maker on the glass, defensively in the paint, and she scored timely baskets for Pewamo-Westphalia at the Breslin Center. Adrianna posted seven points with seven rebounds, and three blocks in the semifinals, then added another productive game with five points and six rebounds in the Championship Game. She boxed out hard to establish and secured rebounds with strong hands. Adrianna cut through the lane, pinned her defender with a solid seal, caught the entry pass with soft hands, and scored with a soft left hand finish off the glass. She spaces the floor well and is a threat to score from the perimeter.

Sophomore Player of the Year and Michigan's #1 2028 prospect looked determined to bring home a State Championship trophy from the Breslin Center. Kenna started with a near quadruple-double performance against Brandywine with 16 points, nine assists, seven rebounds, and seven steals. She flexed her muscles again in the Championship Game, scoring 19 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and dishing out 6 assists. Kenna showed off her athleticism on a speedy baseline drive, floating in mid-air, then finishing with the scoop lay-in. She buried a smooth pull-up elbow over an outstretched defender, swished a corner three, and jumped into passing lanes to generate steals. Kenna created space with an inside-out dribble up top to drain a straightaway triple to start the fourth quarter, and Lumen Christi never looked back. She glided to the rim for a layup after shaking her defender using a double-crossover dribble and dished out an assist to a backdoor cutter. Kenna was the most dominant player on the court, and she is the D3 All-Breslin Team MVP.

Zoey turned in an impressive effort for Roscommon in the state semifinals against Pewamo-Westphalia. She paced the Bucks with 16 points and added five rebounds. Zoey's ability to shift into a higher gear to beat defenders off the dribble, skillful finishing using every inch of the glass, high motor, footwork in traffic, length, athleticism, and floater game made her a standout guard-wing prospect at the Breslin Center.

Zaya had nothing short of a standout performance for Brandywine in the state semifinals against Lumen Christi. She posted a near double-double with 18 points, nine rebounds, and three assists. Zaya was undoubtedly the most impactful player on the court for the Bobcats, playing with poise beyond her years. Her persistence on the offensive glass, strong finishing at the rim, defensive effort, passing instincts, length, skill, and ability to hit outside shots made a memorable first impression.

Lucy was crucial to Lumen Christi making a run to the Breslin Center, and her performances on the big stage helped them finish the job. Lucy turned in a productive effort in the state semifinals with 10 points and three steals, then came through again in the Championship Game with 14 points and two blocks. Lucy switched hands comfortably in the lane to finish a drive with a soft layup off the glass. She caught a pass on the perimeter, zoomed by her defender down with a burst down the baseline, and showed off her athleticism by floating in mid-air to convert the layup.
