Division 2 State Championship Key Performances/Shoutouts!

<strong>Sophie Chipps- G, 5’6, 2023, Napoleon:</strong> (<em>Pictured below with ball) </em>Chipps continues to impress me with her composure, how she handles the basketball, makes the extra pass, and gets after it defensively. She gives her team sparks at the right time, and did it again today. Great court vision, purposefully finds teammates with the hot hands. She finished leading all scorers with 23 points, and grabbed 8 rebounds. Love her quickness, great defender, and man she lit it up tonight! <strong>Caely Ressler- G, 6’0, 2021, Napoleon: </strong>Ressler had an incredible game today, shooting 6-8 from the field, 6-9 from the charity strip, finishing with 18 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists. She’s so smooth around the basket, very athletic, and makes difficult plays look easy. Tough player! <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91104" first="Morgan" last="Bentley"]- F, 5’10, 2021, Vinton County </strong>Morgan is a special player, with a high basketball IQ, and ability to play and shoot anywhere on the court. When she aggressively attacks the basket, that is one difficult task in stopping her! She’s so strong and can battle inside, or hurt opponents from deep. She finished with 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. (<em>Featured Photo)</em> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91093" first="Myriah" last="Davis"]- G, 5’6, 2021, Vinton County </strong> Davis has light feet, and no question attributes to her fast breaks and picking pockets. She can run the floor well on transition, and has a great eye for finding her teammates. She finished the game with 4 points, 4 steals, and 3 assists. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="159366" first="Cameron" last="Zinn"]- F, 5’11, 2022, Vinton County</strong> <em>(Picture below with ball) Quick,</em> alert, aggressive, and coachable are words that come to my mind when watching Zinn play. She just flat out finds ways to score and rebound. Such a strong player who can rip down rebounds, as she did today with 11, and scored 13. In the few minutes I watched her, she can run the court, she’s not afraid to bang around down low, has her hands up in deny defense, and her feet are moving. I cannot wait to see her play next season.
