In addition to earning all the top POY awards, Thornton has worked herself into being the top player in the Southwest District. Solid emotional floor leader with excellent guard skills, plays at a high level. An easy choice for first team! But she is legit, and the top D1 player in NW Ohio. Solid athletic guard with handles and the ability to create shots for herself or her teammates. Averaging just over 19 points per game, Nina is a highlight reel with the ball in her hands. Not only is she able to score, but the way she is able to do it. She can explode to the rim and finish, she also reacts well anticipates on the defensive end, which turns into points. But her game blossomed long before that. She has multiple major D1 offers, is a matchup nightmare for everyone, can drop the long range shot and she has good footwork.
