<p class="p1">PSB Elite 17U is gearing up for a good season this year.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Here are some of the players you can find on their roster.</p>
<p class="p1"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="219869" first="Halle" last="Chaffin"]</strong> (West Charlotte) goes 100% every time she steps on the court.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She finds ways to muscle her way to the basket battling through any kind of contact.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She tucks the ball in and goes hard in the paint, and she doesn’t let anyone stop her.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She can also pull up for a jump shot.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>On defense, she makes sure her opponents have to battle for their position.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She is constantly relocating moving around the paint from block to block looking for an entry pass.</p>
<p class="p1"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="219872" first="Mariah" last="Barrie"]</strong> (Central Cabarrus) moves with finesse on the court knowing exactly where she needs to be to make a contribution.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She moves well with the ball, and she finds the gaps on the court when she doesn’t have the ball.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Her shot selection is very good knowing when to pull up for a jump shot or take it all the way to the rim.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She knows how to make effective passes into her posts.</p>
<p class="p1"><strong>Layla Wall</strong> (Hopewell) is a smooth ball handler who knows how to blow by her opponents using various moves like crossovers and behind the back dribbles.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Her hands are constantly causing problems on defense, and she knows how to push steals up the court for fast breaks.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She can stop and pull up for a jump shot even at full speed, and that is very difficult to guard.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Her IQ is high, especially watching how quickly she can pick up a new play that her team is implementing.</p>
<p class="p1"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="124100" first="Najah" last="Lane"]</strong> (South Pointe) moves well without the ball timing her cuts perfectly.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She has a nice shot that she can show off from all over the court, and she can push the ball up the court herself.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She moves well with her decisive fakes that throw off her opponents.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She isn’t scared to post up against defenders on the block using her strength to battle through contact.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Her passes can certainly thread the needle between defenders.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Her hands jump into passing lanes making sure her opponents don’t get anything going, and she crashes the boards battling for rebounds.</p>
<p class="p1"><strong>Jordann Nelson</strong> (Ardrey Kell) anticipates passes well on defense jumping into passing lanes to grab steals.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She handles the ball with speed moving quickly up the court.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She has a nice jump shot that she can show off from any area of the court, and her ball moves make it hard for opponents to keep up with her.</p>
<p class="p1">Opponents are going to have a hard time scoring in the paint against <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="201036" first="Eseosa" last="Imafidon"]</strong> (Covenant Day).<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Her 6’5” frame makes it difficult to get anything done around the block with her shot blocking ability.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She uses the backboard well when she turns and faces the basket, and she can certainly shoot over her opponents.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She can turn and shoot, or she can use her footwork to score.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>Her jump shot is also a threat on the court.</p>
<p class="p1"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="219896" first="Olivia" last="York"]</strong> (Cannon) runs the floor well making herself available in transition.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She has a quick release with her shot, and she knows how to get away from her opponents to show that off.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She can shoot well from behind the arc, and she isn’t scared to battle in the paint for her points.</p>
<p class="p1"><strong>Amari Haley</strong> (Central Cabarrus) is strong with the ball inside.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She uses various post moves to score against her opponents when she gets an entry pass from her guards.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She finishes strong by the rim.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She has a nice midrange jump shot, too, that she can use, especially when opponents get too comfortable with the spacing they give her.</p>
<p class="p1"><strong>Marissa Sorvillo</strong> (Lake Norman Charter) does a great job finding the openings on the court, so she can put up her shot.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She can move well without the ball and shows that she is ready to shoot, or she can handle the ball blowing by her opponents on her way to the rim.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She doesn’t shy away from contact when attacking the basket.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She runs the floor well in transition being ready for the pass or getting back on defense to prevent her opponents from scoring on fast breaks.</p>
<p class="p1"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="124102" first="Ny’Keriasia" last="Coleman"] </strong>(Lancaster) is an excellent ball handler knowing how to weave in and out of her opponents to get to the basket.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She uses this IQ and vision of the court to cause problems on defense jumping into passing lanes, especially on fast breaks where she ruins transition offenses for her opponents.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She can score all the way at the rim, or she can show off her jump shot.</p>
