The quarterfinals of the state playoffs are here! It’s that time ---- The winner’s to the Breslin Center! The games will take place on April 5th. Here are your matchups, key players, and my predictions. <h2>Division 3</h2> <h3>Brooklyn Columbia Central vs. Grass Lake</h3> LOCATION @ Ypsilanti-Lincoln KEY PLAYERS <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="189313" first="Zoie" last="Bamm"] (2023, C, Brooklyn Columbia Central)</strong> Bamm is an elite post player and a prospect on the rise. <b>[player_tooltip player_id="27985" first="Abrie" last="Cabana"] (2021, PG, Grass Lake)</b> Cabana is one of the steadiest point guards in the state. PREDICTION Columbia Central can control the paint, but Grass Lake has some elite perimeter talent. Grass Lake <h3>Madison Heights Bishop Foley vs. Hemlock</h3> LOCATION @ New Lothrop KEY PLAYERS <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147752" first="Melanie" last="Moore"] (2022, C, Madison Heights Bishop Foley)</strong> Moore is a difference maker in the paint and helps keep the defense honest when guarding the shooters on the perimeter. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="189316" first="Regan" last="Finkbeiner"] (2021, PG, Hemlock)</strong> Finkbeiner can control tempo and have an impact on the feel of the game. If she does so, Hemlock can win the game. PREDICTION This one could go either way, but I like the assortment of weapons that Bishop Foley brings to the table. Madison Heights Bishop Foley <h3>Kent City vs. Schoolcraft</h3> LOCATION @ Portage Northern KEY PLAYERS <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="138300" first="Kenzie" last="Bowers"] (2021, PG, Kent City)</strong> Bowers is one of the top 2-3 players on the west side of the state. Her mere prescience always gives Kent City an advantage. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147780" first="Mackenzie" last="Miller"] (2022, PF, Schoolcraft)</strong> Miller will contribute in multiple ways. She can help Schoolcraft limit Kent City to 1 shot posessions. PREDICTION This might be the game of the night. Schoolcraft has the fire power to slow the hot shooting Kent City squad. I just don’t think it’s time for Kent City’s run to end. Kent City <h3>Calumet vs. Maple City Glen Lake</h3> LOCATION @ Houghton Lake KEY PLAYERS <strong>Marybeth Halonen (2022, SG, Calumet)</strong> Halonen is a key scorer for Calumet. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="178852" first="Grace" last="Bradford"] (2022, PG, Maple City Glen Lake)</strong> Bradford is critical to the success of her team. If she’s her usual steady self, her team will have a chance to win the game. PREDICTION Glen Lake continues their magical season and takes a trip to the Breslin Center. Maple City Glen Lake
