PGH Great Lakes Kickoff: 15U Sunday Stat Stuffers

Every coach loves a two-way player. Here are several prospects who got the job done on both ends for their teams on Sunday at the Great Lakes Kickoff.    Ady filled up my notebook on Sunday during a strong opening game for Wisconsin Blaze Inferno at the Great Lakes Kickoff. She attacked hard off the dribble, got to the rim, then converted an acrobatic and-one layup off balance. Ady took the ball fearlessly to the basket, drove into contact, and earned many trips to the free throw line. She knocked down shots at the line efficiently with a confident follow-through. Ady's pressure and anticipation in the passing lanes resulted in many steals. She avoided a defender using a fancy euro-step in the lane to score with her left and scored another and-one bucket on a determined drive. Ady dished out skip passes to cutters and made smart dump offs for assists.     Sadie worked hard to gain the advantage inside to contest shots and secure rebounds. She kept perfect defensive positioning, moved her feet, and walled up to cause a travel. Sadie used her outside hand to deflect an entry pass, creating a steal. She scored an offensive rebound with her left, blocked a floater, and knocked down free throws with a confident stroke. Sadie cut backdoor, caught the pass with soft hands, then energized the team with a strong and-one finish. She completed the three-point play at the line. Sadie had length, skill, and a two-way presence that stood out with Pink Elite Regional 15U at the Great Lakes Kickoff on Sunday.     Evelyn made a great impression with her two-way performance for Kentuckiana Hoops 15U on Sunday at the Great Lakes Kickoff. Evelyn handled the ball confidently with both hands, created space to drive, and penetrated to score a layup. She showed her outside range and drained two triples with a smooth stroke. Evelyn crashed the glass to secure rebounds and scored a putback. She anticipated a spin move, timed up the shot perfectly, and blocked it clean. Evelyn pushed the ball up the court with pace and generated steals, disrupting the opposing offense with her length, anticipation, and effort.     Addy is a sparkplug point guard, and she ignited MBA House 15U by turning in a complete performance on Sunday at the Great Lakes Kickoff. She was a menace on the defensive end and commanded the offense as a brilliant court general. Addy anticipated a missed shot, sprinted in to snag the rebound, retreated to the perimeter, then drove by with a burst to score off two feet. Her dribble penetration and persistence on the offensive glass resulted in many free throws, which she converted efficiently. Addy chased down ball-handlers in transition to bat the ball out of bounds and picked off an inbounds pass, raced to the rim, then hung in mid-air to score an and-one bucket. She penetrated the defense with an explosive burst, caused the help to commit, then dished out dump-offs and kick-outs to wide-open teammates. Addy used a shifty double-crossover dribble to drive by with her left, then switched hands at the rim to score off two feet.     Gracie put the ball in the basket, and her determined performance for Kentuckiana Hoops 15U stood out on Sunday. She snagged a defensive rebound and pushed it up the court with pace for a coast-to-coast layup. She scored a contested bucket at the rim and was active on the glass, securing many rebounds on both ends. Gracie scored putbacks, and her length/athleticism caught my attention during the Great Lakes Kickoff.     Carmyn caught my attention with her multidimensional impact on the court for Wisconsin Blaze Inferno 15U on Sunday at the Great Lakes Kickoff. She crashed the glass to secure an offensive rebound and scored the putback. Carmyn made smart reads off the ball, cut backdoor, and finished efficiently at the rim off one and two feet. Carmyn understood where the soft spots in the defense were and beat the full-court press, switching hands confidently with her dribble. She's a smart defender and drops into the passing lanes to pick off passes.     Tatum used a quick rip move in the corner to penetrate the defense off the dribble and scored a silky smooth layup. She swiped the ball away, then finished with a strong and-one layup. Tatum crashed the boards to secure an offensive rebound, then added two more points with the putback. Her scrappy defense, slashing dribble drives, and ability to finish in traffic made a difference for Kentuckiana Hoops 15U on Sunday at the Great Lakes Kickoff.     Khloe is a versatile guard-wing prospect who competed with a high motor and contributed in every way for Illinois Lady Lightning 15U at the Great Lakes Kickoff on Saturday. She started the game off by intercepting a pass from the help side, then launched a full-court pass to a teammate running a go route for an assist. Khloe created separation from defenders with shifty inside-out and between-the-legs crossovers, then accelerated downhill for a layup. She drained a wing three, landed in a jump stop at the free throw line, watched the defender tumble to the floor, then buried the open jumper. Khloe split the gap on a speedy drive, switched hands, bulldozed through a sliding help defender, and finished the and-one with her left off the glass. She absorbed contact to score a strong two-foot finish and threw a great baseline hammer kickout pass to a corner shooter. Khloe finished well with both hands, and her toughness stood out.     Aubri is a dynamic and skilled point guard in the MBA House 15U backcourt who stood out once again at the Great Lakes Kickoff on Sunday. She attacked on a left drive from the wing, turned on a dime, dribbled straight to the rim, and dropped in a tough, contested floater with her left. She ripped the ball away on defense and dished out a skip pass on the money to a cutter for an assist. Aubri raced up the sidelines after securing a rebound, froze the defender with a hesi, went by with a burst, and finished the layup. She buried a smooth three in the corner and drained a step-back triple from the wing. Aubri made good overhead entry passes inside from the perimeter and looks ready for a great AAU season.     Eleanor was a crafty facilitator and lights-out perimeter scorer for Skye Academy 15U at the Great Lakes Kickoff. She continued to impress on Sunday. Eleanor created space to drive, dish, and shoot with her wide lateral dribbles. She penetrated gaps and kicked the ball to open shooters. Eleanor drained a rainbow three from the wing and another from way downtown. She switched hands comfortably and changed speeds to keep defenders guessing. Eleanor delivered a long lead pass in transition to a sprinting teammate for an assist and has length that makes her a tough matchup for typical guards.
