Seven players from NW Select ended up with five points or more - showing of their ability to spread the wealth across the board. By halftime, Select smothered the opposition 49-14, highlighted by [player_tooltip player_id="158517" first="Halle" last="Hageman"]’s passing abilities as she handed out a game high six assists. [player_tooltip player_id="158545" first="Rhyan" last="Mogel"] had a game high 11 rebounds and [player_tooltip player_id="207820" first="Mia" last="Skoro"] had a game high 14 points as NW Select handled their opposition in an easy manner as they cruised to a 71-18 victory as all their pieces were connecting on all cylinders.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158539" first="Lizzy" last="Bennett"] 2023 5’11" SF NW Select Black</strong> - Lizzy is a newcomer to NW Select Black and has instantly fit in as a versatile wing with a high aptitude as a glue type player as she truly does it all. She has a good mid-range game and can score within the paint or dish it off to a teammate within the key. Bennett finished with 6 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="255263" first="Ava" last="Heiden"] 2024 6’2" C NW Select Black</strong> - the Sherwood big showed high capability as a centerpiece in the post as she changed the direction on many shots and provided as a rebounder. She also showed the ability to stretch the floor and finish at the rim. Finished with 7 points, 5 rebounds, 1 block, and 1 steal.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="207819" first="Carly" last="Stone"] 2022 5’6" SG NW Select Black</strong> - the sharpshooter got it going as she hit several from deep and played aggressive defense, coming up with some loose balls and showing hustle. She is a playmaker with or without the ball who is incredibly scrappy, as she dove and helped Select obtain some extra possessions. Finished with 10 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 steals.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158517" first="Halle" last="Hageman"] 2022 5’6" PG NW Select Black</strong> - Hageman dazzled with her innate passing abilities as she can hit the full court touchdown as well as run as a speed, elusive point guard in the transition. Although this wasn’t one of her high scoring games, she provided as a steadfast floor general, finishing with 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158545" first="Rhyan" last="Mogel"] 2023 5’11" SG NW Select Black</strong> - Mogel is the engine of this team as she showed her rugged rebounding skills as well as chipped in as a scorer and facilitator. She is a locomotive who plays incredibly tough on each possession, never taking a break. She finished with 9 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals.
<strong>Jazzy Davidson 2025 6’1" PF NW Select Black</strong> - Davidson continued to show off her ability to score in a myriad of ways as the eclectic talent has a lot in her arsenal. She finished with 9 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal as she can finish from the perimeter and knows how to use her length to her advantage in the paint.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="207820" first="Mia" last="Skoro"] 2022 5’9" SG NW Select Black</strong> - Skoro perhaps had the best individual game out of the group as she had a significant showing as an all-around guard who is incredibly intuitive. She rebounds well for her position, as finishes well with her signature floater in the lane. Finished with 14 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158551" first="Annie" last="Koenig"] 2023 5’11" SG NW Select Black</strong> - Annie is a tall guard with capabilities as a defender and rebounder due to her size alone. She is a natural shooter with her length and knocks it down with good consistency. She finished with 10 points and 5 rebounds as a consistent offensive cog for Select.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="211120" first="Olivia" last="Poulvaati"] 2023 5’11" PF NW Select Black</strong> - Has gained recognition as a high aptitude forward who plays beyond her position. Has slick hands that are good for rebounding and passing - perhaps from her skill as a goalie in soccer. Poulvaati finished with 4 points for Select.
