Pat Woodward did an outstanding job running a quality event for many talented clubs and players. There were some restrictions for entrance into gyms and limitations on who could enter to watch games. I was still able to view a handful of players from the weekend that stood out in my limited time watching. Below is part one of players that stood out in games I scouted.
Standouts: Part 1
2026 6’0 SF Emmi Swillie (Diamond Lane) – One of the better long term prospects in the event. Swillie is long, skilled and advanced for her age. She played up in Division 2 and helped her team to a runner-up finish in the top pool championship. She can hit from the mid range and three as a 6’0 wing just being a 7th grader. A clear Division 1 prospect on the rise.
2025 5’7 PG Demi Thompson (Diamond Lane) – The point guard for the same Diamond Lane team. Thompson is a solid athlete, but her three pointer and all around confidence on the floor stood out the most. She is 5’7, but appears to have much more length than her actual height.
2024 5’10 PG Katie Fiso (Tree of Hope 17u) – One of the best high school prospects in the event. Fiso is long, shifty and loves to make plays off the flat ball screen that Tree of Hope utilizes. A three level scorer and willing passer from the point guard position. A high major prospect in the 2024 class.
2022 6’3 F Sierra Logue Sierra Logue 6'3" | SF South Medford | 2022 State OR (South Medford 2022) – This group appeared to be a collection of local Oregon high school kids getting some run in and Logue easily stood out due to her height and length. She is fluid running up and down the floor, blocked shots and displayed some versatility. Strength is going to be the one thing she can improve in, but she brings a lot of other things to the floor. PGH Oregon ranks her as the number two prospect in the class of 2022.
