There are some good players left off and some tough decisions had to be made. Prospects on teams that were 4-0 and 3-1 broke the tie-breaker in most instances. The teams are guard-heavy and not a whole lot of true centers were in the prospect pool.
First Team
Gracen Gehrke Gracen Gehrke 5'8" | PG Lincoln-Way Central | 2024 IL – 5’7 G 2024 – Illinois Rockets 2024 Red – Gracen is a scorer that doesn’t need 20 shots to put up numbers because she’s efficient and has a high field goal percentage. Has some handles to get where she needs to go, some slashing ability, and a top 5 shooter in the 15U division.
Katelyn Odem Katelyn Odem 5'8" | SG Homestead | 2024 State WI – 5’7 G 2024 – CBA U15-Gold – Katelyn has a full skill-set as a scorer. Goes to the hoop at will and is a 3-point threat. A top-3 scoring threat out of all the 15U prospects with her aggressiveness and ability to put the ball in the hoop and also get to the foul line.
Isabelle Zavilla – 5’9 SF 2024 – M14 Hoops 2024 -2 – Isabelle is a versatile wing that has some movement and athletic ability to her. Decent length and can handle the ball full-court after securing the ball. May not have a true position necessarily as she plays all over the court in multiple spots and can also handle the ball with both hands and bring it up. Overall, Isabelle is a really solid prospect that can do a little bit of everything. She will find a college team in the future if she chooses to do do.
Alayna West – 5’9 G 2024 – Wisconsin Premier 2024 – Alayna is one of my favorite prospects with upside in the 15U group. She is highly skilled with the ball and her ball-handling. Great length, can play the point, and also can hit threes with her smooth 3-point release that has consistent accuracy. Makes steals with length and turns into transition often, getting up and down the court in a hurry. Has the greatest upside out of all of the 15U prospects.
Mya Nicholson Mya Nicholson 5'10" | SG Janesville Craig | 2024 State WI – 5’10 SG 2024 – Let It Rain 2024 Black – Mya is one of the top prospects in the 15U group because of her positional size and ability to shoot the three with aggressiveness and high accuracy. Mya shows a ton of confidence in her shot by her shot selection and fearless mentality to shoot the three with defense in front of her — with no pressure. She can also attack the hoop, using her size to her advantage.
Second Team
Tailor Lawrence – 5’11 G-SF 2024 – Wisconsin Impact 2024 Mackowski
Sarah Aleknavius – 5’9 G-Wing 2024 – CBA U15-Gold
Lyric Burns Lyric Burns 5'10" | PF Verona | 2024 WI – 5’11 G-SF-PF – Wisconsin Premier 2024
Ava Dean – 5’7 G 2024 – Let It Rain 2024 Black
Navaeh Thompson – 5’11 G 2024 – Wisconsin Playground Club 2024
