<span data-preserver-spaces="true">There are always top performers in every state throughout the high school season especially in West Virginia. Listed below are the top eight girls from class “AAA” who had the best seasons.</span>
<strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">[player_tooltip player_id="153322" first="Baylee" last="Goins"] - Nitro - 2021 - Guard</span></strong>
<span data-preserver-spaces="true">Arguably one of the state’s best, senior guard [player_tooltip player_id="153322" first="Baylee" last="Goins"] had a great senior season. Goins helped lead the Nitro Wildcats to the class “AAA” State Title. Goins averaged 20.3 points per game this season and was a co-winner of the 2021 Mary Ostrowski Award.</span>
<strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">[player_tooltip player_id="153370" first="Marley" last="Washenitz"] - Fairmont Senior - 2022 - Guard</span></strong>
<span data-preserver-spaces="true">The other co-winner of the 2021 Mary Ostrowski Award is right here with Fairmont Senior guard [player_tooltip player_id="153370" first="Marley" last="Washenitz"]. Washenitz, already verbally committed to West Virginia University, filled up the stat sheet this season. She also helped lead the Polar Bears into the class “AAA” State Championship game.</span>
<strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">[player_tooltip player_id="153372" first="Peyton" last="Ilderton"] - Logan - 2022 - Guard</span></strong>
<span data-preserver-spaces="true">Logan had a quiet but very successful season as they reached the semifinals of the State Tournament. <strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">[player_tooltip player_id="153373" first="Amya" last="Damon"] - St. Joseph - 2022 - Guard</span></strong>
<span data-preserver-spaces="true">St. Joseph had a whole new look this season after multiple girls transferred out. Transferring in was Greenbrier East guard [player_tooltip player_id="153373" first="Amya" last="Damon"]. Damon averaged 21.4 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. The Irish fell short of their postseason hopes in a regional loss to Nitro.</span>
<strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">[player_tooltip player_id="153385" first="Hannah" last="Perdue"] - Pikeview - 2022 - Guard</span></strong>
<span data-preserver-spaces="true">The leading scorer in Class “AAA” was Pikeview’s, [player_tooltip player_id="153385" first="Hannah" last="Perdue"]. Perdue averaged 26.2 points per game as she led Pikeview back into the State Tournament. </span>
<strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">[player_tooltip player_id="153399" first="Meredith" last="Maier"] - Fairmont Senior - 2022 - Forward</span></strong>
<span data-preserver-spaces="true">A key piece to Fairmont Senior’s undefeated regular season was Grafton transfer [player_tooltip player_id="153399" first="Meredith" last="Maier"]. Maier brought some height to the Polar Bears as she averaged 18.5 points and 12.9 rebounds per game.</span>
<strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">[player_tooltip player_id="153426" first="Olivia" last="Toland"] - North Marion - 2023 - Guard</span></strong>
<span data-preserver-spaces="true">North Marion got their firepower from their sophomore guard, [player_tooltip player_id="153426" first="Olivia" last="Toland"]. Toland averaged 20.7 points per game and helped lead North Marion to the semifinals. </span>
<strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">[player_tooltip player_id="153389" first="Katlyn" last="Carson"] - North Marion - 2022 - Forward</span></strong>
<span data-preserver-spaces="true">North Marion’s inside game comes from junior forward [player_tooltip player_id="153389" first="Katlyn" last="Carson"]. Carson almost averaged a triple-double this season. She averaged 13.6 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 8.8 blocks per game. Carson is a great rim protector inside.</span>
