New England Hidden Gems: No Wasted Reps

On Monday night, I headed North to watch an exciting team based out of New Hampshire called No Wasted Reps, and it was one of the most fun environments I have been a part of this spring. The energy in the gym felt like a playoff atmosphere, and I was impressed with how competitive, intense, and engaged the girls were. Not only was the gym electric, but a handful of players jumped out at me. She is another super talented combo guard from the ’25 class, but what separates Swormstedt from her peers is her compete level, swagger and that she plays with a chip on her shoulder. Swormstedt plays like an undersized guard who has something to prove, but at 5’8’’ with a big wingspan and athleticism to go along with that mindset, this No Wasted Reps standout is one of a kind. Swormstedt can score efficiently at all three levels and is very good at shot-creating and making off the dribble. She sees the floor well in the half-court, hitting her teammates with accurate passes off her penetration. Swormstedt is a crafty finisher at the rim and showed good body control when elevating over the defense for easy buckets. What I liked most was how much she dug in on defense. With her length and lateral quickness, she has the potential to be a tenacious lockdown defender and showed flashes of that in the form of clean steals that led to easy fastbreak hoops. Swormstedt is tough, plays hard, and has had one of the most impressive practices of any athlete I have seen thus far.
