The Nebraska 2023 rankings are here!
This is a debut of the 2023 rankings, with 78 total prospects on the list. The list at the top begins with #1 rated 6'3 center Ruthie Loomis-GotlRuthieLoomis-Gotl
6'3" | C Bridgeport | 2023StateNE
, #2 Mya SkoffMyaSkoff
5'11" | CG Bellevue East | 2023StateNE
, and to finish out the top 3 is #3 Kaitlyn EmanuelKaitlynEmanuel
6'0" | SF North Bend Central | 2023StateNE
.
The process that PGH Nebraska went through to compile the list consists of prospects seen at PGH Circuit events and via online at NFHS Network and YouTube. The list is a work-in-progress and will be evolving in future updates. With many more prospects added and prospects adjusted to their more accurate ranking. In this debut the top 12-15 could be a tier and after that it could be treated as more of a watch list.
Guard and wing play seems to be a trend with the top prospects, with not a large number of 6'0+ true centers in the class. Size and length most often are tie-breakers, as those characteristics translate well to the next level. The prospects are theoretically ranked at how highly they're recruited or how well they translate.
A notable observation of the rankings list is how well represented Millard South is with Cora OlsenCoraOlsen
