The Nebraska state girls basketball championships concluded on Saturday with six champions at the 50th annual tournament. Over the next few days we will highlight players who had big performances during the weekend. We'll also feature some underclassmen who we expect to make an impact over the spring and summer circuit. But first, six players who led their teams to state titles.

Leu was all that and then some as she led North Star to their first state title in school history -- in any sport. The Omaha commit and second ranked player in our Class of 2026 rankings, Leu dominated their championship game 51-35 win over Omaha North with a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds. For the weekend, she averaged 14.3 points and eight rebounds, while adding 12 steals and 10 assists in three games. Will be a dynamite contributor for Omaha next season.

Reiner will make a strong, strong case for the top player in the new Class of 2028 rankings when they come out in a couple of weeks. She showed skill at all levels of the floor in leading the Badgers to their first state title and a perfect 28-0 season in Class B. In their title game win over Gretna East, she was a perfect 5-for-5 beyond the arc and scored xx points in a 49-38 win. Averaged 15.3 points and eight rebounds for the tournament along with 15 assists and nine steals. Already with a Houston offer, plus more, we expect Reiner's stock to rise quickly this summer.

Miller is likely to go from unranked to the top-15 in the Class of 2027 when we update our spring rankings as she is a player who should have offers any NAIA or Division II school within shouting distance of Milford. Displays the perfect "slow in the post" type of game and rarely panics, while holding her own against Malcolm's [player_tooltip player_id='757558' first='Halle' last='Dolliver'] in the state finals game that Milford won 66-52. Scored 17 points, grabbed five rebounds and had four assists in the state finals. Showed the ability to step out and shoot the three as well while averaging 14.3 points in the tournament.

The Sioux Falls commit continually proved her worth as she led Pender to a fourth straight state championship on Saturday. Dolliver continues to shine on the brightest of stages. After being held to three points in the opener, Dollver scored 16 points in a semifinal win over Yutan and her third quarter barrage of triples buried Elkhorn Valley in the finals. She connected on seven 3s and scored 24 points in the championship game win. Dolliver is one of the elite shooters in all of Nebraska.

Another 2027 who is likely to move into our top-50, Brichacek proved she can play inside and outside at 5-9 which is a nightmare for opposing defenses at the Class D-1 level. Brichacek is certainly a player who plays in the GPAC if she so desires. In the Jaguars 45-42 win over the Bloomfield in the state finals she scored 20 points and grabbled 11 rebounds. For the tournament, she scored 12.0 points and 9.1 rebounds per game.

An absolutely crazy athlete for Class D-2, Spargo is one of the top athletes in Nebraska regardless of class. After, DCS survived their first round game with Loomis, she willed her team to their first-ever state title. In the Tigers championship game win over Wynot, Spargo had 22 points, 12 rebounds and seven steals. She ended the tournament with 49 points, 31 rebounds, 17 steals and eight assists. A likely track athlete at the next level -- she won four medals as last year's state meet -- Spargo is worth a call for any college coach just to gauge interest. You never know, right?
