The 2024 class is one of the most talented classes in the North Florida area. As these players enter their Sophomore season, they are primed for increased roles in the upcoming High School season.
Kennedy Waymer (Paxon)- A very crafty lefty with the basketball in her hands. She has the ability to put the ball in the basket and it’s usually on penetration drives to the basket.
Jade Williams (Terry Parker) – Shoots the three well and looks to score on every possession.
Gabrielle Fajardo (Stanton) – A high motored player that does a good job of shooting and handling the ball and is not afraid to drive to the basket.
Kiyana Hunter Kiyana Hunter 5'3" | PG Mandarin | 2024 State FL ( Mandarin) – Shoots the three very well and is a very good defensive player on the ball and in the passing lanes. She finished the season with 33 steals as a role player.
Morgan Gavacci (San Jose Prep) – A high-energy point guard who can shoot the three. Does a good job of playing through contact.
Kendall Shorstein Kendall Shorstein 5'5" | SG Episcopal School Of Jacksonville | 2024 State FL (Episcopal) Kendall Shorstein Kendall Shorstein 5'5" | SG Episcopal School Of Jacksonville | 2024 State FL has a very good basketball IQ and shoots the three very well. Was among the leaders in three point field goal percentage on the First Coast.
Ella Stakem (Bolles) – One of the best shooters in the 2024 class. She moves well without the ball to the open spots and often shoots off of the catch. She led her high school team in minutes played and was their most consistent player on the court. She also has the ability to draw pressure and pass to the open teammate.
Eris Lester (Orange Park) – Has a high motor and an even higher work ethic. She played the passing lanes well as a defender and she can do it all on the offensive end of the floor. She averaged 21 points per game and earned all first-team honors in Clay county as a Freshman.
Kennedy Rosendahl Kennedy Rosendahl 5'6" | SG Ponte Vedra | 2024 State FL has one of the purest shots in this class. She is deadly on the wing and can score in bunches. She can handle the ball and can run the offense at the point guard position.
Ragan Chapel is one of the most dynamic offensive players in the 2024. She has an innate ability to put the ball in the basket from inside and outside. Chapel is also a physical defensive player.
Nykeria Thomas (Mandarin) is one of the most versatile players on the list. Her ability to run the floor, play the passing lanes, pass the ball and shoot from multiple angles is special. Thomas averaged 17 points per game and recorded 52 steals in 16 games played.
Aniyah Fisher (St Augustine) is one of the most versatile players in the 2024 class. She made major contributions on a team that made it to the 5A state final four. She has the ability to play the 1 through 4 positions on offense and defense. She has a knack for putting the ball through the hoop.
North Florida is loaded with talent and the above list of 2024 guard only touches the tip of this talented class. The majority of this class plays travel ball and are key players on those teams. As the AAU season resumes in July, we will keep you updated with this 2024 class and every other class in Northeast Florida.
