It is has been about 3 or 4 months since we put out our class rankings for everyone to see, remember, we update rankings about 3 to 4 times per year to keep the accuracy of the list. Rules are this, we have to have seen you play to be able to be put in our rankings system, one of our 5 writers would have included you in an article or something and recommended you be put in the ranking system. With that said, we will miss some kids cause we did not see them in person, but we eventually see the cream of the crop one way or another. This July is the opening of the most important recruiting for kids in the 2022 class, College coaches are again allowed to come out and watch in person. This will change everything and they way coaches are recruiting kids for their programs, we told you when this PANDEMIC started, this would change the face of RECRUITING....
2022, 6'0, SF, Camarillo HS, [player_tooltip player_id="103359" first="Gabriela" last="Jaquez"] - Gabby has improved tremendously this season playing for the Cal Stars Top Team, I would gamble to say she is the best player on that team right now in terms of production on the floor. You may not agree, but her number and productivity on the floor speaks for itself. She is scoring at all three levels on the court and she is also one of the better defenders in the paint, she is a guard in a forwards body and she loved the old-school game of play. She has an old soul when it comes to the game of basketball. Gabby moved up from #4 to #3 in the rankings.
2022, 6'0, CG, Bishop O'Dowd HS, [player_tooltip player_id="49273" first="Amaya" last="Bonner"] - Amaya is an athletic scoring guard with a very nice body type for college at this time and knows how to use her body to her advantage. She can get to the rim with a burst of speed past her defender or pull up and shoot the midrange or floater in the paint. She is aggressive to the rim and is a threat to score on the floor at any time. She is one of the better guards in the area when it comes to the Bay area. Her athleticism alllows for her to get by defenders as she can jump and twist her body to get closer to the rim or evade a charge call. This young player is fun to watch and we will keep and eye on her for the next few years. Amaya moved down from #3 to #4 in the rankings.
2022, 5'7, PG, Bear Creek HS, [player_tooltip player_id="49274" first="Junae" last="Mahan"] – Junae is more of a scoring guard but handles the rock for her team in some instances. She has much athleticism, she can handle the rock and not get ripped as well as get to the rim anytime she feels. She will continue to improve but we believe she is defensive minded and a team leader. Junae moved up from #5 to #4 in the rankings.
2022, 5'10, SG, Oakridge HS, [player_tooltip player_id="163136" first="Teagan" last="Brown"] - is a complete beast. Brown is tall, athletic, fast, and quick. She is the whole package. Teagan has one of the quickest turns around jumpers I have ever seen. Her shot itself is one of the best, she has outstanding shooting form. Her turnaround jumper cannot be stopped. She can go untouched with most of her shot attempts. What is really great about Teagan is that she seems to always be enjoying herself while playing, she always has a smile on her face. Brown averaged 17.5 PPG and scored a total of 544 points during her sophomore season. Teagan moved up from #8 to #7 in the rankings.
