Throughout the course of this month, I will do my best to bring you daily updates on players I’ve seen the previous day. Some articles will include strictly Indiana prospects, while others might include other Midwestern or National prospects. Below is a look at seven young ladies who I felt stood out with their play in the games I was able to see yesterday at the Run 4 The Roses Classic in Louisville, Kentucky.

Jayci put together a strong Spring, and she again played at a high level yesterday. She has tremendous length, she is athletic in all directions, including being bouncy, and she’s a very active kid. She can play some around the perimeter, and that’s where she’ll need to continue focusing her development, but she is a real problem in the mid-post right now because she’s athletic off the bounce, and she has great touch at 15-feet. If she can add a little strength and knock down the 3-pointer consistently, she could be a nice late-bloomer.

Abby had a great Spring, and she was even better yesterday. Her sense of urgency and intent for the game has really stepped up the last couple of months, and she was almost dominant at times yesterday with her play. She has a solid to strong frame, really nice length, and she has been very active at both ends of the floor. She can block shots and rebound, she can post, she has touch in the mid-post, plus now she’s starting to put it on the floor a lot more and attack from the perimeter and mid-post.

I feel like each time I see Jaci play, she just looks more and more comfortable after having moved in from New Hampshire last year. She has a fairly strong frame and can play with physicality, but she’s also a solid athlete in most directions, and she has good skill facing the basket. She is still probably best in the mid-post right now, because she can attack the basket and absorb contact, or she can knock down the 15-footer at a high rate. But she is also comfortable around the arc, and she can bury the occasional 3-pointer as well.

Is there any player more fun to watch than Jordyn? She is so quick/fast and explosive, and she just makes plays at both ends of the floor constantly. In the game I saw yesterday, she was creating off the bounce at will against a very good program from New York. She was always getting to the paint, finding teammates for open shots, and really causing problems for their opponent. She isn’t very big, but her talent is immense, and after you watch her for five minutes it’s easy to see why she’s drawn the offers she has already.

Kimber is a long, wiry-strong, and very active forward who has a lot of upside if she continues to grow her game. She plays with a really nice motor, she tries to affect the game in a variety of ways, and she is comfortable both inside and in the mid-post. She has some touch to 15-feet, and she looks to attack off the bounce a little when it’s available. Being a youngster, she just needs to finish growing, continue working on building strength, and tighten her entire skillset. But at 6-1, she is not a post, and her ceiling is very high.
Mallory Bourquein, 2025, 5-7 CG, Carmel H.S.
Mallory really stood out to me yesterday because of her quiet toughness and businesslike approach. She is a nice athlete, she has some length and wiry strength, plus she’s a very skilled kid who can play either guard position effectively. She was being contacted constantly, but she managed to absorb it and play through it without emotion and just got inside the defense to either finish or find teammates. She’s someone who will likely be added to our 2025 watchlist once we expand it again in September.

I had seen Monique a few times on film, but this was my first time seeing her in-person. She is a jumping jack who flies around the floor and constantly makes plays. She is extremely long, wiry-strong, and very athletic. She loves to attack the basket from the mid-post, she finishes at odd angles, plus she has plenty of talent and enough ball skill to eventually transition into more of a small forward. If she can add a consistent perimeter jumper and prove she can defend wings regularly, she’ll be an even bigger problem.
