I hadn’t seen all of the EYBL squads, nor those affiliated with the other shoe teams or any acronyms that might disgust me because of our history yet that doesn’t really matter as far as what I write and see, the San Antonio Lady Hoops have at least 3 on their squad that are going to be on the next drop so in no particular order, here are some of the players that multiple college coaches have called me about and have offered, I’ll break down the groups later
Leonna Sneed Leonna Sneed 5'6" | PG SA Wagner | 2025 State TX -5’6 PG (SA Finest) SA Wagner HS
Sneed’s nickname is LA and after seeing her in the 5th grade, I said she was not only a #D1Lock but LA fit because she was definitely going to be a star. No need to question if I was right, her poise playing against players, her skill-set as well as her mindset told the story and now she’s about to enter high school playing on one of the top club teams in the state but her ability to take defenders however she wants to, finish after contact and the smoothness she shows creating her shot speaks volumes but does her ballhandling and ability to see the floor
Aaliyah Chavez Aaliyah Chavez 5'9" | PG Monterey | 2025 State TX -5’7 PG (Cy Fair 16U EYBL)
Chavez was also called a #D1Lock by me in the 5th grade when I caught her playing up and spinning on high school players like they weren’t there yet she also showed she was acrobatic and under control at a young age and what’s up now, with numerous BCS offers already on the table, it would be a safe bet to say that she’s going to continue to create problems because she just understands how to keep defenders off balance with numerous moves including the “stutta” as in stutter step as well as the “HEZ” as in hesitation and I guess that stop and pop jumper helps as well
Aniyah Foy Aniyah Foy 6'0" | SG Cinco Ranch | 2025 State TX -6’0 SG (Lady Defenders GUAA)
Foy was not called a #D1Lock by me in elementary school yet I caught her heading into the 7th grade and I just knew what was coming and locked her because “she’s long and athletic” remember that’s the base I use and more importantly countless college programs use it as well but it’s the intangibles that add to sum things up so, her jumper, mid to long-range, her ability to score off the dribble and finish with contact, her defense including her timing to block, alter or deflect shots as well as her playing the passing lane and that, coupled with her ballhandling and strides usually leads to baskets going the other way
Nataliyah Gray Nataliyah Gray 6'3" | PF Alief Taylor | 2025 State TX -6’1 PF (Cy Fair Premier)
Gray is leaving “no grey areas’ on what’s coming and she may be the top player in the state before it’s said and done and no I did NOT call her a #D1Lock until I saw her this season. The talent is so spread out in the city and state, plenty of segregation I feel like protesting yet it wouldn’t matter because this has gotten of hand yet so has she as she can NOT be contained because she’s so strong and powerful in the paint, the team was down by almost 20 when she arrived to game and her inside dominance had them win by 20, this was against a sold 202 squad so what she does ain’t no joke. Okay she overpowers, what else, glad you asked because the midrange is looking good, the long-range is falling and she’s handling the ball in the open court
Again, I dropped 20 of the players I have seen multiple times at tournaments or INDIVIDUAL SHOWCASES, I have to see you, I have no AGENDA whatsoever and I’m definitely like those who did have pettiness when my daughter played, many are still around yet here’s the lists
