Dylan Crane Open Run Standouts Part 2

Another set of talented players that stood out at 24/7 basketball open run put on by Dylan Crane in Chantilly, VA. Asia Boone-2022-PVI Lefty, quick release, beautiful form. She was the best 3pt shooter of the night. Has nice range, must know where she is on the court at all times. Good ball handling and court vision, can play lead guard. She is unselfish, has a smooth game and nice moves in transition. Paige Smith-2023-Williamsport High School Lead guard with strong body, high IQ. Utilizes her body well to shield defenders and protect ball. Can shoot the 3 off the bounce, has nice pull-up in transition. Heady player, eyes up scanning the court, has good court vision and makes the right reads off pick-n-roll.  Confident player who looked to over power smaller guards all night. Zania Socka-2024-Georgetown Day School One of the most athletic kids in the gym, great length at 6’3, bouncy and found her way to the ball. She is raw offensively, continues to get better every time she steps on court. Has ability and athleticism to be an elite defensive player. She rebounds at a high level, with added strength she will absorb more contact and not get moved out of position. She already holds a few D1 offers and that number will continue to rise. Alison Kunzwiler-2022-PVI Smart player, pushes the ball in transition and makes easy passes.  Unselfish, aggressive defender with active hands.  She is capable of guarding full court and rarely looks tired.  High motor player that can knock down open shots. Has range to the 3pt line. Ashley holds her position well, steps to the ball and has a good variety of moves around the basket. Defensively, guards the paint well and communicates with her teammates. Solid fundamentals, look for her to have a big senior season.</span> Jenna Steadman-2023-Woodgrove High School Knock down shooter with nice range and quick release. Nice size at 5'9, can handle the ball and play backup PG when needed.  Defensively, her length creates turnovers, she slides her feet well and hands are active without fouling. She moves constantly without the ball and does a good job reading defenders and utilizing screens to get open.
