LAE Exposure Scrimmage: Top Defenders

<p class="p1">Lady Attack Elite hosted an exposure scrimmage yesterday.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>Here were some of the top defenders showing off their abilities to play both ends of the court.</p> <p class="p1"><b>[player_tooltip player_id="172874" first="Jacquelyn" last="DeJesse"] | Chestnut Park | PG | 2022</b></p> <p class="p1">Dejesse is a tough defender, especially on ball making it difficult for her opponents to breathe much less dribble the ball.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She was constantly causing problems for her opponents trying to get by her.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She made sure she got to show off her shot on the offensive side of the court, and she finishes through contact driving hard to the basket.</p> <p class="p1"><b>Mckenzie Taylor | Concord Academy | CG | 2023</b></p> <p class="p1">Taylor has an amazing way of getting her hand on the ball when playing defense.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She can block shots or grab the ball right out of her opponent’s hands.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She is feisty with the ball on offense moving quickly up and down the court weaving in and out of her opponents.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She has a nice floater that she shows off in the paint, too.</p> <p class="p1"><b>[player_tooltip player_id="285944" first="Aleysha" last="Hill"] | Asheville | CG | 2023</b></p> <p class="p1">Hill showed off her ability to guard the ball keeping her opponent in front of her and knocking the ball away.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>It didn’t seem like a good idea to try to dribble by her one on one with her aggressive defense.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She pushes the ball up the court with speed, and she keeps her eyes peeled to find an open teammate ready to shoot or cutting to the basket.</p> <p class="p1"><b>[player_tooltip player_id="299441" first="Molly" last="Burns"] | Ardrey Kell | CG | 2024</b></p> <p class="p1">Burns (pictured above) showed off her defense grabbing steals in a one man press and taking it the other direction.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She does a great job deflecting the ball away from guards trying to get by her.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She handles the ball well bringing it up the court with speed.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She moves without the ball finding the gaps with some backdoor cuts on her way to two points.<span class="Apple-converted-space">  </span>She showed off her range from deep.</p>
