PGH Class of ’25 Initial Rankings- Part 6

<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="319352" first="Sophie" last="Chard-Peloquin"]: 5’10, SF, Newark Catholic- </strong> Sophie has a very bright future on the court! Basketball DNA runs in this family, and Sophie will certainly have her presence felt for Newark Catholic. Her athletic, long frame makes her difficult to stop. She’s a scorer, who can rebound and play an uptempo game. Strong decision maker and fundamentally solid. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="319039" first="Malaya" last="Collins"]: 5’7, G, Westerville North- </strong>Malaya continues to develop every year- I’ve watched her for the last five years, and her defense, ability to handle the ball, attack the basket, and outside shooting is strong. She is a scoring machine, particularly from behind the arc, and  weaves past defenders with ease. Great court vision, and executes so well on transition. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="319026" first="Sa’Mahn" last="Johnson"]: 5’6, PG, Reynoldsburg- </strong>(<em>Below, with ball) </em>Johnson can flat out play! Fantastic energy, high motor, and the young lady competes! She is one of the best defenders I’ve watched, which really rattles opposing teams. Sa’Mahn plays with composure and control. Excellent handles, very tough to contain in the open floor. And don’t leave her open outside- she’s a bucket! <img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-323764" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/09/IMG_9173.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="319038" first="Emily" last="Rimer"]: 5’7, SG, Olentangy Liberty- </strong>Rimer is an athletic guard who really allows the game to come to her. She’s coachable, and her outside shot- well, it’s nothing but net! Love her quick release, and she can rain 3’s all day long! She’s a play maker, and has a soft touch when finishing around the basket. Light feet which contributes to her tight defense. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="319044" first="Cadence" last="Scott"]: 5’6, CG, Dublin Coffman- </strong>The future looks bright for Dublin Coffman, and [player_tooltip player_id="319044" first="Cadence" last="Scott"] will be a name you will hear! This young guard is really maturing, gaining more confidence in her outside shot, as well as finishing strong around the rim. Loves pushing the ball, strong handles, and not afraid to take the big shots when the game is on the line. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="319351" first="Sophie" last="Ziel"]: 5’7, CG, Bishop Watterson- </strong>Coaches, if [player_tooltip player_id="319351" first="Sophie" last="Ziel"] she isn’t on your radar, you need to add her to the top of your list. She plays like an upperclassman, her split second decision making skills are outstanding. Plays so smooth, and such a pure shooter from anywhere! Huge offensive threat, and defensively she keeps her feet and hands active, resulting in picking pockets and easy transition points. (<em>Featured Photo, with ball)</em>
