One thing the PGH Indiana Top-250 Showcase has been great for over the past three seasons is finding some prospects who we weren’t previously aware of, or we hadn’t seen enough of in the past to offer a fair evaluation of their game. This Saturday at the Noblesville Boys & Girls Club, there were a number of new-to-me prospects on hand who stood out. A lot of them were younger, but below is a look at five non-Freshmen who stood out with their play throughout the event.

– Aliyah is a nice ballplayer who just has a solid feel for the game. She played primarily on the ball when I saw her, and she didn’t seem rattled at any point, but she also showed the ability to knock down open jumpers consistently. She has some speed and quickness to her game, she has a wiry-strong frame for a smaller guard, plus she played with a really nice motor.

Pike | 2024

, 2024, 5-9 W, Pike H.S.
– Morgan is a really nice, long, and wiry-strong athlete in all directions. She was able to run and jump with just about any prospect in attendance, plus she played with a solid motor. Morgan handled the ball quite a bit and acted as a point forward at times, but she was also aggressive to the basket, scoring it herself. If she can shoot it a bit more consistently outside, she could be a nice, multilevel scorer.

– Candyce impressed me as much as any of the players I didn’t know entering the event. She has a long, wiry, but athletically strong frame. She has really good North/South speed, she plays with a motor, but she also understands pace and doesn’t always go 100 MPH. She handled the ball quite a bit, but she also scored it well attacking the basket. I think she can become a really nice on-ball defender.

– There weren’t a lot of true posts in attendance, so Loria took advantage of that inside. She has a big, strong, broad, powerful frame. She is a solid North/South athlete, she plays with a nice motor, and she seemed to enjoy physicality. She appeared to be more of a defender/rebounder, but then she showed solid hands and the ability to finish on the block. As her skillset grows, so will her college attention.

, 2024, 5-7 G, Anderson H.S.
– Jacelyn is another impressive perimeter athlete who played well. She has an athletic frame, really nice length, plus she moves well in just about every direction. She played with a good motor, and she was active defensively as well. She mostly looked to attack the basket off the bounce, but she did show some touch from the perimeter. She could end up playing either guard spot for Anderson this year.
