Always known as a solid defensive club, the Rockets return a handful of talented players to make another run in the Shelby County League. Breann Reaman is a 5-9 2022 who showcased her skills at various events this summer. She is a solid aggressive guard with good ball handling skills and is an offensive threat. Kayli Brewer is a 5-2 2022 guard who plays good on-ball defense and has active hands. Also watch for Lenna Rowland, a 5-10 2022 who adds height and physical play on the boards.

The Trojans have all the tools to have another successful season. They are led by 5-8 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="92539" first="Hailey" last="Unger"], the returning Southwest District Division 3 Player of the Year as the most explosive offensive player in the newly-formed Western Ohio Athletic Conference (feature photo above). Unger can score both on the drive to the hoop, or will let it fly from around the arc. [player_tooltip player_id="32604" first="Madelyn" last="Fearon"] (pictured left) is a 5-8 2022 who has really improved on her game every year. She is a great floor leader and has a smart basketball IQ. In the middle, [player_tooltip player_id="32607" first="Taylor" last="Gray"] is a 6-foot 2022 who likely will continue her career on the volleyball court. She is a solid post with good post moves.
Carlisle
The Indians competed near the top of the Southwestern Buckeye League last season, and they will challenge again this season. They are led by 5-7 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="212897" first="Sidney" last="Morris"], a multisport athlete who excels from the point guard spot (pictured right). She has excellent handles and a strong desire to succeed. Able to play physical if needed, also a solid perimeter shooter. Kaylee Lawson is a 5-8 2022 who like Morris is a solid guard with good offensive skills.

Looking to finally play up to their expectations, the Lakers bring in two of the top Division 3 players in the area. [player_tooltip player_id="270604" first="Stephanie" last="Altstaetter"] is a 5-11 2023 post with strong moves in the paint, good footwork and a physical defender (pictured left). Another 2023 who looks to improve on her game is 5-10 [player_tooltip player_id="93550" first="Allison" last="Kinney"], who can hurt you from the inside or out. .She has good range and solid handles. The Lakers also have a couple of younger players who Coach Stid hopes can develop quickly this season.

A new coach takes over with the Arrows and they have some outstanding talent coming back this season. It all starts with their backcourt duo of [player_tooltip player_id="270523" first="Campbell" last="Jewell"] and Liv Thompson. Jewell is a 5-6 2023 soccer standout who will be playing soccer at the University of Michigan, but she is also one of the top guards in Ohio in her class. She is lightning quick and makes things happen from the point guard position. Thompson is a 5-6 2023 who is deadly from the perimeter, but has a knack to get to the rim and score. Both are great athletes who can score and defend. [player_tooltip player_id="218277" first="Kahlen" last="Kulms"] is a 6-1 2024 post who got better as the season progressed. She has good hands around the rim, can defend the post and uses her length to her advantage.
Waynesville
Despite the loss of [player_tooltip player_id="211742" first="Leah" last="Butterbaugh"] to gradation, the Spartans will be tuned up to make another run this season. Returning is 5-5 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="269816" first="Isabella" last="Cassoni"] who has verballed to Wright State, but she will get help from a pair of rising 2024s with Caroline Stupp and Emme Greely. Stupp is a 5-4 fiery point guard with a good skillset, great passer and excellent court vision. Greely, who stands 5-9, had her moments last season, and I expect her to showcase her skills at a higher level this season. [player_tooltip player_id="319354" first="Avery" last="Whitaker"] is a 2025 who had a good summer and time will tell how she works into the system at Waynesville.
West Liberty Salem
They lost their 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="32610" first="Emily" last="Hollar"] to an injury during soccer and she will miss this season. The traditionally solid Tigers team will rely on some senior leadership of Hallie Smith and Aubrey Williams along with a very talented sophomore class that consists of Megan Hollar, Chaley Wade and Bailey Poppe. All three will be pushed into big roles this season.
