PGH Top 250 Expo Arrives In Georgia

Atlanta, GA. — The time between the culmination of the travel season and the beginning of high school season is far from “quiet” with regards to gyms across the country. During the months of August-October, some of the best showcases fill gyms with players looking for opportunities to play in front of college coaches with hopes of making lasting impressions on the court. The PGH Top 250 Expo is one of those events. The expo series makes its stop in Georgia this Sunday, October 3rd. With more than 175 players registered, the growing list of 40+ college coaches, including coaches at the D1, D2, D3, NAIA, and JUCO levels, are sure to find players that they feel fit their program. Players attending will quickly realize that they made a good decision to commit to the event. Looking Back On The Georgia Top 250's Inaugural Year In last year's Georgia expo we saw some of the top seniors in not only the state but the country as well. Nationally and regionally recognized players such as , Sania Feagan, , , and further reiterated their ability to dominate on the court while prospects like , Kiarah Messiah, Mone' Florence, , and used the opportunity to check boxes for both coaches already aware of their games and new coaches watching. The younger classes showed up as well. We saw players like , , , , and Evelina Davalkou jump onto several college boards with the likes of Ta'Niya Latson, Mallory Collier, , and continuing their campaign as some of the most talented underclassmen in the state.

Need-To-Know Names In The Class of 2022 There are still several talented seniors looking for opportunities at the college level. While (GAC/Xavier) and (Carrollton/WCU) are looking to reaffirm what we have seen from them as top players in the class, there are others like (Statesboro), Sydni Arnold (Mountain View), Sarah Ellis (Bulloch Academy), (Grovetown), (New Manchester), and (Archer) that hope to make statements or improve their stock with college coaches already hot on their trails. I cannot think of a better place to be this weekend if you are an available senior with a desire to play college basketball.

Who's Who In The Class of 2023 The class of 2023 will be out in full force on Sunday. Boasting a list of more than 55 players, this will be the largest represented class at the event. (Kell), (Sequoyah), (South Forsyth), (Holy Innocents'), (Woodward), Ari Dyson (Luella), (Carrollton) and Aaliyah Durham (Griffin) are just a few of the players that enter the weekend already in possession of college offers. As coaches from the Division I level tune in virtually to continue evaluations of them, they'll be several coaches in-person hoping to become familiar with new names. (Valor Christian), (Warner Robins), (Flowery Branch), Trinity Thomas (GAC), (Arabia Mountain), Ja'Silyah Holmes (Cross Creek), and many more are sure to catch some eyes on the court.

Young Guns In The Class of 2024 Make no mistake, the up and coming players in this class will be bringing some heat on the court. (Buford), Sanna Tripp (Newton), Michaela Bogans (Cross Creek), Yazmine Allen (Forest Park), (Galloway), and (Dominion Christian) have already jumped onto the radars of several schools and are poised for impressive high school seasons. (Lovejoy), (Pickens County), (North Cobb Christian), (Cherokee), and (Lumpkin) are just a handful of the players that will prompt some note taking on the sidelines.

Who's Up Next In The State's Class of 2025 I must say, this class is the one I'm most eager to watch this weekend. Every year freshmen seem to come out of nowhere and leave you in amazement with performances on the court seemingly beyond their years. (Carrollton), Jaleia Robinson (Woodland), Allie Duke (Calhoun), (Central), (Woodward), (Creekview), (Creekview), and Jah'Naesia Spiers (Arabia Mountain) all possess the intangible quality that coaches look for and that's size. It's going to be a fun day getting more familiar with the games of all the freshmen making their high school debuts in a few short weeks.

Out of State Talent At The PGH Georgia Top 250 Scrolling through the list of registrants, I've found several names from neighboring states that I am not familiar with. Alabama, Tennessee, and South Carolina will all be represented this weekend. Lindsey Paukovitz (Fort Mill - SC), Jalisa Sanders (Boyd Buchanan - TN), Alexus Neal (Headland - AL), Kennedy Pierce (Trinity Collegiate - SC), S'Moriyah Rice (Byrnes - SC), Nailah Mayes (Minor - AL), Jaslynn Walter (East Nashville Magnet - TN), Skylar Lassiter (Hayden - AL), Jaedyn Sharp (Gadsden City - AL), Karma Wynn (Pelham - AL), and Jada Sanders (Boyd Buchanan) welcome to the party.
