About 85 players from the Class of 2022 to the Class of 2026 participated in the PGH Top 250 Expo in Kansas City. These are the players from Kansas in the class of 2023 that stood out to me.

[player_tooltip player_id="127284" first="Emari" last="Doby"], 5’9, Shawnee Heights – This was my first time seeing Emari play and I was extremely impressed with her skill set. Doby’s length gives her the ability to play inside and outside. Can handle the ball in transition. Good floor vision. Can back you down then shoot over the top of smaller gaurds. Had a really pretty step-back three against a tough defender.
[player_tooltip player_id="156294" first="Chloe" last="Clevenger"], 5’6, McPherson – I’ve seen Clevenger play many times and she has the ability to create her own shot. Plays with great energy. Always looking to attack to get her own shot or set someone else up. Seemed to take on the challenge of defending the other team’s best guard all day.

[player_tooltip player_id="191489" first="Hattie" last="Pyle"], 5’7, Frontenac – Plays low to the ground and handles the ball well. Competes on both ends of the floor. Offensive players had a hard time getting around her on the defensive end. With the ball, Pyle always had her head up looking to set her teammates up. Plays in control.

[player_tooltip player_id="335960" first="Lucy" last="Hardy"], 5’6, Lawrence – One of the first things that popped about Hardy was how active she was on both ends of the floor. Without the ball, she was always on the move coming off screens, making basket cuts or setting screens. Crashed the boards from the guard position and got out in front in transition.
[player_tooltip player_id="156310" first="Addison" last="Schletzbaum"], 5’10, Atchison County – Schletzbaum missed a majority of the summer due to an ankle injury. She’s back 100% healthy and you can see why she was named to the all-Expo team. Plays under control. Can get by smaller defenders with her size and bigger defenders with her quickness. Showed the ability to shoot at a high level. Handles and sees the floor very well for a taller guard.
[player_tooltip player_id="335939" first="Brenley" last="Cunningham"], 5’4, Gardner-Edgerton – Cunningham didn’t do a lot in terms of scoring the ball, but she did a lot of little things that win games. Offensively she makes the right decisions with the ball. Defensively she was always in the right spot. Runs the floor in transition, always boxed out. Even for a smaller guard, she wasn’t afraid to go get offensive rebounds.
[player_tooltip player_id="335963" first="Cindy" last="Bracker"], 6’3, Lawrence – Bracker was one of the true post at the Expo. She ran the floor and played hard. Offensively in the half-court, she does a good job of carving out space with her body. Did a good job of keeping the ball high when shooting and finishing around the basket.
