Prep Girls Hoops will continue all preseason long on coverage from around the Palmetto State. Lets take a look at Region 5-A over in the Pee Dee right here.
<em><strong>Prep Girls Hoops Predictions </strong></em>
1.Lake View HS - The Lady Wild Gators (12-1) last season will run away and hide this season. Plenty of depth on this roster. Can they get over the hump and win a State Championship ?
2.Lamar HS - The Lady Silver Foxes came up big in the playoffs last season with a upset win over Whale Branch HS. Looks like maybe a rebuilding year this season.
3.Green Sea-Floyds HS - The Lady Trojans will look to surprise some teams this season under Head Coach Tracy Kienast.
4.Johnsonville HS - Head Coach Walter Clark is in a rebuilding stage with the Flashes.
5.Hannah-Pamplico HS - The Lady Red Raiders will look to sneak into the last playoff spot this season.
6.Timmonsville HS - The Whirlwinds will be shutting its doors after this school year.

Waters is the Preseason Region Player of the Year. Waters has been on the varsity for 5 seasons now for Head Coach Larry Inman. Waters and the Lady Wild Gators have lost to Military Magnet in the playoffs the last 2 seasons. Ja’Niyah brings good versatility to the floor with her ability to score inside-out. Waters plays really good away from the ball and always seems to pickup several deflections on the defensive end of the floor. Waters enters her senior season with 955 points in just 74 career games. Traditionally Lake View HS doesn't play many non region games and tournaments.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171764" first="Zan’Dasia" last="McNeil"] (2022) - Lake View HS</strong>
McNeil really excels in several sports all year long for the Lady Wild Gators. McNeil does a good job in the open court with her athleticism and always willing to be around the ball. Zan'Dasia is the ultimate team player does her job to put her team in a winning position. McNeil averaged 6.6 ppg last year.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="175363" first="Janiya" last="Scott-Rouse"] (2022) - Timmonsville HS</strong>
Janiya will be in the last senior class for the Whirlwinds as a school. Scott-Rouse averaged 13.6 ppg from the backcourt.

Pope is back after averaging 9.7 ppg and 7 rebounds last season for the Lady Trojans,
<strong>Shireona Johnson (2022) - Green Sea Floyds HS</strong>
Johnson averaged 9.8 ppg and 5.6 rebounds last season from the wing position.

Page has the ability to score the ball from all 3 levels on the floor for the Lady Wild Gators. Gwendasia really does her best work in transition and on just pure hustle plays to manufacture results. Gwendasia averaged 11.4 ppg last season.

Ford has been instrumental since her 7th grade season for the Lady Wild Gators. Jaleya plays the game very aggressive for her age and never takes a play off. Ford averaged 8 ppg last season as a freshman.

Bardon 5’11 came up late in the season last year for the Flashes. Bardon is just a freshman.
