Region 7-AA was really hit hard last season with Covid-19 and not many games played. Can Latta HS be the team to beat the next few seasons with its young roster ? Read more inside right here on your source for girls basketball coverage in the Palmetto State. <em><strong>Prep Hoops Predictions: </strong></em> 1.Latta HS - The Lady Vikings have some young good talent coming up the ranks and will be the favorite in the region. 2.Marion HS - The Lady Swamp Foxes lost a lot of seniors and finished just (5-1) last year. 3.Mullins HS - The Lady Auctioneers and Head Coach Myron Gerald were upset in the playoffs last season after finishing (3-1). 4.Kingstree HS - The Lady Jaguars will be a spoiler this season under Head Coach James Price. 5.Lee Central HS (Bishopville) - The Lady Stallions didn’t play last season. 6.Andrews HS - Could be a long season for the Lady Yellow Jackets. Andrews HS finished (1-6) last season. McFadden &nbsp; <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="258135" first="Makayla" last="Legette"] (2025) - Latta HS - Prep Hoops Preseason Region Player of the Year (pictured on front)</strong> Legette is just a FRESHMAN for the Lady Vikings basketball program. The future looks very bright for this program with Makayla and some of her good friends around her here in the Pee Dee. Legette averaged 14.2 ppg last season as a 8th grader in a very shortened season due to Covid-19. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="262018" first="Shawniza" last="Bethea"] (2024) - Latta HS </strong> Bethea a point guard brings back 9.8 ppg to the table and a winning spirit. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="258136" first="Kardae" last="McFadden"] (2025) - Latta HS </strong> McFadden averaged 3.2 ppg and 4 rebounds last season as a 8th grader. Davis doesn't look to be back in action for a bit according to Head Coach Crasten Davis. &nbsp; <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="185225" first="Takiyah" last="McGee"] (2023) - Kingstree HS </strong> McGee is the go-to player for the Lady Jaguars after averaging 10 ppg last season. The Lady Jaguars upset Mullins last season in the playoffs where McGee scored 31 points in the win.
